New player, where to start?
Just downloaded the game because it seemed like fun and had a few questions like

1. What is the best server/servers to start playing on?
2. Are all visible servers open to random players?
3. Are there any "new player" friendly servers to keep an eye out for?

and just any other information that a new play might need to know to play this game.

Thanks in advance to any and all info

really depends on what you prefer, probably start off with a vanilla no ff server and go to modded servers when you're comfortable

all servers are visible to everyone, and idk of any specifically "new player" servers

1. Get used to vanilla servers, the ones that don't have the Modded or FriendlyFire tags. Learn how the game works.
2. Yes.
3. Not really, but people are generally indifferent if not helpful to newcomers.

1. Same as above, try to find servers without mods/plugins and without friendly fire. FF servers tend to be toxic more often than not, and several servers are "heavily modded", introducing makeshift new items that can be very confusing. If you can't find any servers that aren't modded, some servers only have small QoL plugins like opening doors without having to hold your keycard, so keep an eye out for those too
2. To my knowledge, there's no way to hide a server from certain players, so you should be fine
3. Depends on where you are, but I've been playing on Zircon a lot. No mods, no ff, and small community. I see new players on there a lot, I personally think it's really fun to help them out when I see them. There are a few 'tryhard' players (read: people who are really, really good. Tough to kill.), but most servers have a few.

TEAM GOALS:
> As Scientist and Class-D, your goal is to escape. You spawn in Light Containment Zone, and must go up some elevators into Heavy, through a checkpoint into Entrance, and up some more elevators to Surface. The escape zone is a long winding tunnel, you'll see it.
> As MTF, Guards, and Chaos Insurgency, your goal is to get your team's 'civilian' classes to escape. You spawn on Surface Zone. MTF/Guards get Scientists out and must kill all SCPs to win, Chaos get Class-D out and do not need to kill SCPs, but sometimes do anyway.
> As SCP, your goal is to kill everyone and everything. Every SCP has different abilities, weaknesses, strengths, etc. You'll get better with practice. You don't need to kill Chaos, but you could. You spawn in Heavy Containment Zone.

> Press F1 when you spawn in. It'll give a quick description of the class, as well as abilities for SCPs. Very, very useful when first playing.
> In the settings, turn your SCP Preferences for 079 all the way down. 079 (aka the computer) is tough for new players, it's best to avoid playing as him until you know the map better. If you do get him, however, the easiest thing to do is to watch one of your SCP friends and close doors on anyone running from them.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to help if I can!

the best servers to play on are the offical servers because they dont have any modification in the game, just some tips to save stamina because there are scps that would be way faster than you. there are different footsteps for enemies, like a statue moving for scp 173, hear the footsteps they will help you. never go to 914 early. scps will always be there. close doors on 106 even tho he can walk thru walls, it still slows him down.

Start by navigating to your Steam library.

From there it's pretty easy. Find the game in the list of your games and then right-click it.

Hover over "Manage", select "Uninstall". Then select "Remove from account".

If you need any more help, let me know.

you either get to be the skidmark screaming into your mic or be annoyed by a skidmark screaming into their mic, choose wisely

No auto-moderation. I manually gave you a warning for breaking the community guidelines.
