Is the foundation outta budget? Cuz like, They protect anomalies that could end the world or commence a massacre and are invincible to bullets and they dont even have a helmet.

Ah yes, a helmet will protect against an interdimensional black man

you’re like one of the many people that said this, but just to repeat what others said

-what would a helmet do against end-of-the-world scps? the name implies they want to focus on the world not some random person

-the foundation isn’t limited, they rather know to save money by giving guards actual needed uniforms instead of the tacticool stuff that everyone glazes from cb

-imagine being a guard working 8 hours and having to hide your head inside a baclava and a helmet, inside a facility where air ventilation isn’t a top priority

-you forgot one crucial thing, the guards are like marines, even if a bullet hits their brain that’s not even going to change anything
From what I am aware, the guards we play as are the lowest form of security the facility has sandwiched between two more specialised teams. Heavy would have personnel trained more for maintaining SCP containment who were taken out during the breach, and Surface normally would have people monitoring the perimeter of the Facility but were re-positioned by an Insurgency spy prior to the breach. The average work day of the guards we play as would likely be to inspect imports for contraband, escort new D-Class and the personnel attending to them through entrance into heavy, and maybe occasionally breaking up scientist slap fights.

Did I say it will protect against every SCP or did I say they should have more protection?
The SCP Foundation is controlled by masonic corporate globalists who don't care about their workers, so of course the guards are underequipped.

The chaos insurgency consists of mobile task force members who wouldnt exactly find it hard to take down a normal security guard, And btw. The rogue task force members are from the alpha-1 too. So yeah. They do need helmets. And who says they cant take them off to feel cool? They just wear it when the breach starts, Protocol type stuff.

Cant make sense because If the personnel on heavy die then all others are doomed lmao

i know that since the chaos's past is their signature trait, but here its some low budget terrorists against security guards that arent prepped for a heist, theyre there to fill in their 9-5 paper for the bag :dealerrizz:

"sir why are we wearing berets and not helmets? You said we'd be fighting hostile chaos insurgents"

"our budget doesnt allow for such things as helmets, I have instead given you all berets so you look like youre highly trained killing machines... -i dont know if some of you know how to fire a gun...-"

What if the SCP Foundation itself is funding them? It's no secret that the US government has funded terrorists.

I always thought they did, to keep the Foundation's top staff on their toes, by having less-important facilities and employees be raided and killed. It means the Foundation can justify its military wings, such as Nu-7, and more importantly for the organisation it means more research into anomalous objects and entities through containment breaches.

The Mobile Task Forces also get to recruit more people for containment and military teams, with the survivors of CI attacks being likely more than willing to join people like Epsilon-11, if it means they can avoid whatever happened last time to them.

Basically the CI are to the Foundation as opfor training divisions are to the US military, only deadlier, and with the threat of Cthluhu breaking out and falling into the hands of terrorists led by a living mega-engine.

Isn't that what it used to be? The whole story being it was to do shady stuff like that until they *Actually* started doing stuff the Foundation didn't want?

Also doesn't the guide imply they're making their own weapons..?

As for the guards; I'm pretty sure the idea is these particular guards aren't the best, I think even the guide says that, they're only really expected to move D-Class around.
