939 can't see people using SCP-268, why?

939 follows by sound, not with his eyes. 268 is only supposed to make people invisible. Meanwhile 096 can see them just fine, apparently.

Actually,939 is able to see people using the hat.They just need to be making sound.He is one of the three SCPs that can see people using the hat.079 and 096 being the other two.

079 can see people using the hat because 268's "invisibility" doesn't actually make you invisible.Its a memetic effect that makes you unnoticeable.Since 079 is a computer,268's memetic effect has no effect on him.

Meanwhile,096 can only see you using the hat if you use it after looking at his face.Just like the lore,096 will always be able to track you down no matter what you do.He's so persistent on killing his targets that no memetic bulls#it will stop him

939 can see you using the hat because he is just that sensible to sound.

if the game really cared for lore this much then 096 wouldn't ever stop raging until his targets are killed, but that doesn't happen :ccskull:

They have to make a balance between game balance and lore accuracy which can be very hard especially in a multiplayer setting.

IDK what server you are on but 939 can see people with hat as they normally would
