Megapatch 2: SCP items and the medkit rework
Scopophobia: The last time 096 was good when it first released, ruined later with all the complaints
Parabellum: New flashlight model and decreased the amount of generators to 3.
Refracted Reality: New 079 rework and the unity engine update
I don't know in which update it was, but removing the femur breaker was the best change this game ever had.
106 and 079 got their soft reworks in Mimicry. 079's breach scanner was added in Refracted Reality. 106's femur breaker was removed in Mimicry.
Megapatch 2: Introduction of SCP items. Also, as an honorable mention, absolutely banger SCP balance changes that fixed a bunch of annoying s#it, like 106's attack cooldown only activating on hit, 049 getting an attack cooldown and being able to revive any body regardless of cause of death and SCPs generally being a bit faster.
Scopophobia: Uhhhh, no windup on zombie's attack was nice, I guess. And I guess there's also status effects that to this day most are unused. Yeah, I'm gonna be honest, Scopo is possibly one the worst update the game has received.
Parabellum: Hotkeys. If I had to play older versions of SL, lack of hotkeys would definetly screw my brain up the most. Also I think it was this update that made 096's attack not a pain in the ass to hit, so that's pretty good too.
Mimicry: 1576 technically was added this update, even though it was bugged and didn't spawn. It's a stupid item, but it's my favorite SCP item.
Refracted Reality: The varying Jailbird inspect sounds was nice touch. Also the FM keycard that got added to 079, that's pretty big and a lot of people seem to forget that it's there.
14.0: 4975, which is definetly an addition that's happening that update.
MP1: Added the USP (later the COM-18)
MP2: SCP items Obv
Scopophobia: Decontamination Displays
Parabellum: Hotkeys and Chaos Sub-classes
Mimicry: Reworked Checkpoint and Added 2nd Checkpoint
Refracted Reality: Probably the new lighting. I know a lot of people hate it but personally I hated the lighting in all of the past updates (especially parabellum and mimicry), so deal with my opinion.
MP2: Brought the SCP Items to the game
Scopo: Stamina was a fun game changer. Status effects were also pretty cool
Parabellum: 173's rework. It's still the best rework we have received so far
Mimicry: I remember having so much fun during the Xmas event. The child beater and cake were 10/10 additions.
RR: Most of the new lighting was great (I'm not a big fan of HCZs, but that obviously isn't an issue anymore)
I never really had a preference between stamina and no stamina. Most people just say stamina is bad in the heat of moment when they get killed by (insert cause of death). I loved 173's rework too, people can cry that "waaah no peanut" all they want idgaf.
I never played the Xmas 2022 event (wish I would've tbh).
Oh I forgot 2nd checkpoint was Mimicry. Yeah nevermind, that's definetly the best part of Mimicry, arguably the best thing out of all these updates. Sorry, 1576.
Scopophobia: I was confused at first, but that was me. I loved playing as 096 for my first game.
Parabellum: I don't remember much from this update, but I met some cool people on an official server and had a blast.
Mimicry: Played twice; left the game in my library because I got hooked on a different game, which I formally regret spending 3,000 hours on. I loved the changes, and overall, it was a spectacular update.
Refracted Reality: I don't get it; the lighting was honestly a great change, and I enjoyed the tweaks done to the SCPs. (I don't know which update nerfed 939, but that one sucked.) glad they also changed that.
On a note, I don't like the new decrepit looks of the human models, especially being so used to the fuse models. I'm not entirely disagreeing with them, but with the lack of information they had about them in the past and the untextured models making them look great, then revealing the real deal. Really did it for me.
