I have hidden while everyone else dies and wait like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5 to even 12 minutes and when i try to escape it just fails. Even then if i hide i get kicked or killed by a admin.
So me complaining about game balancing automaticlly means i'm bad at the game? That is a mighty thing to assume. Just because SL is based off CB does not mean that it has to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ so unfair for class Ds or scientists as they just get eradecated off the face of the earth by SCPs. If anything CB is easy the AI is just plain terrible (And kinda unfair when i turn a corner and a mtf instantly flicks onto me and oneshots me like it's a damn MLG montage) There is a difference between a balanced game and a unbalanced one. Making a game more balanced does not make it less scary and intense. The game is not even that scary at all infact it's like disney land compared to SCP:CB creepy atmosphere and the fact anything could kill you at any moment is what makes a scary game. But in SL that all is ruined due to the players and the weapons. Players are reasonable, they just say random ♥♥♥♥ and joke around such is expected in a multiplayer game. But with guns however you instantly grow more confident and team up with your comrades and eradicate the SCPs and other anorying people.
It's more like shoddy game design really. I mean hats down to the developers for the game and the progress they made but the game has major issues.
1. You spawn and you walk out of your cell and start running to the door while bugging out when everyone walks through you and start searching for keycards.
2. you find a keycard and spend about 2 minutes searching for 914 and you found it and everyone upgrades their keycards with others stealing other better keycards.
3. With everyone always pressing the upgrade button and selfishly running in by theirself to upgrade their keycards you hear footsteps unusual with a normal players footsteps.
Take your pick who it is?
A. an mtf
B. class d
C. 049
D. 096
4. Everyone gets shocked and panicks while some ass thinks its funny for everyone to scream in dispair to he unlocks the door and 049 waltz through and kills everyone.
Or maybe it's 096 and waits manicingly at the door waiting for his buddy 106 to bring everyone to his little edgy sex dungeon. Again which also unfair due to the fact that people just go through pathways and disappear (Meaning that path is safe to go through) and thinking oh its safe walk through and die even tho the player disappeared. After asking wtf why is it like that one of the players said that bodys don't appear in pocket dimension
anymore which is again unfair due to how every single corridor looks the same and not knowing which one is safe you die because there is no way of getting out because the game is very 'balanced'
4. You somehow manage to escape capture and manage to run away while everyone else dies but you can escape! you have a O5 the holy grail! so you get to HCZ and 1 of 3 things happen.
A. A group of mtf encounter you and shoot you down.
B. A group of mtf encounter you disarm you and steal your keycard and then which escourt you to send 106 back to his little sex dungeon cube which involves you screaming in pain as 106 butt ♥♥♥♥♥ you with his massive greasy dildoe.
A. You make it up to gate B and call the elevator but when up the surface a helicopter lands and a whole bunch of furry protectors come and gun you down with their furry porn shooters or.
B. You call the elevator and walk down to the escape zone and....Fortunetly you escaped!
Unfortenetly you instantly teleport right back outside dressed like a more edgy version of the MTF
model (But for real MTF and chaos models are the exact same except different color of cloaths and a gas mask) with the instant knoledge of how to handle a gun and become a killing machine.
And say truth - Have you ever played original SCP: Containment Breach? If not: Don't say Secret Laboratory is unfair... In Containment Breach there is chance of map generating that badly, that you can't do anything... SCP:CB works in linear way with free roam thing - you need to make things step by step but you can walk around whenever you want and how long you want.
I have got many times map where there was no control room (needed) to progress... THIS is unfair...
And Secret Laboratory maybe isn't scary at all (not like original SCP:CB game...) but it's still interesting experience... (Maybe it would be good if voice chat WOULD WORK.)
If an SCP comes? (Most likely SCP-173 at the start) just keep looking at it and don't underestimate its speed. I've gotten past 173 multiple times without it being able to catch me. Here's a list of SCPs and how to avoid them:
SCP-096 = Just don't look at it, you probably already know that at this point.
SCP-106 = Usually running and flanking it is your best bet.
SCP-049 = Well, he's slower than you are, as most SCPs are slower than normal players running. Just make sure you stay 2-3 m away from him, and don't get stuck at any door, so make sure you NEVER close doors.
And now for the combo SCPs
SCP-173 and SCP-096 = This is one of the hardest combos to counter, especially as a Class-D or a Scientist. But if you have a keycard in this case, and have memorized the location of the SCP-914, get to it, and open the gates, then look at 096 and 173, this will make 096 scream obviously, and 173 is unable to move. At this point you just close the gate of 914 and your problem is solved. At this point you usually just have to wait for Chaos Insurgency or Nine-Tailed Fox to come over, but trying to lock 173 in the room of 914 is your best bet.
SCP-106 and SCP-049 = These footsteps are fairly easy to recognize from afar already. So you should always keep your ears open, and if you feel like you are. The combo of these 2 SCPs itself is quite easy to counter. The key to this is just staying away from them, at this point do not attempt running around 106 either, this way 049 has a great chance of catching you (Positive side would be that maybe he would "cure" you).
