banned for cheating even though i have never cheated on SCP

I have been randomly globally banned from scp for apparently cheating which i can assure you is not true. Ive sent a ban appeal but im still extremely annoyed at this considering i have put a lot of hours into the game and enjoy it very much.

Yo wtf, I got banned on the same day as you. I tried going to the discord for help because i genuinely like this game and didn't cheat. They were quite helpful but thought I was cheating since it was a game-ban. I have no clue.

Hopefully it gets resolved

I was playing on the official Canadian server like 2-3 weeks back and this happened to everyone on the server for a small period of time for some reason. It didn't last, but damn was I paranoid.

I mean this wouldnt be the first false positive ban wave from SCP SL they reverted the last one too.

If you got actually game banned, you probably deserved it. "I got randomly banned" , no you got caught. "Which isn't true" , says every cheater ever. "I've put a lot of hours into this game", that means nothing. Consider the cheaters in CSGO, go look at those discussions and you'll see what I mean while they get banned with sometimes with thousands of dollars worth of inventory.

If you got a VAC or a Game Ban, you 99.9% deserved it. It's even more unconvincing as you felt the need, like every other banned player, to come to the discussions as if you can convince us of your innocence. You should have been contacting Northwood Studios from the start about it, not coming here and trying to make a stink over something you more than likely deserved.

If you feel you didn't, put in a ban appeal, moaning about it here does absolutely nothing to help your case.

You've never seen someone running through walls and just blasting you from 3 corridors away? Must have been nice, cheating isn't prominent but it does exist, you just need to know what to look for. Mainly the biggest problem right now are ping abusers over the regular cheaters. I'd rather get killed by a bullet through 3 walls than someone who is 9 miles away from me but still within range or dying around a corner because the game can't keep up with their terrible network.

You do realise that not every Anti-Cheat is perfect? Sometimes ending 096's rage on stairs or in an lift kills me for anticheating. False Positives happen, you know.

Uh to be honest no i never saw a cheater in SCP SL yet either the servers i play on are greatly moderated ( the Freya and some other EU based servers ) or not sure dude ?

I see the usual peanut getting killed for cheating ( the bug ) and yeah rarely a glitch dude that glitches somewhere but thats it.

No automatic systems are perfect Anti cheats kinda work like anti viruses they work on Databases and heuristics even hell a False Positive rate of like 1-2% is EXTREMELY good but how many million players does steam have ? thats heasily thousands or multiple 100k of falsely banned players

Pre the Profile patch of steam there was also a "unbanned" list on vacbanned.com and let me tell you there were allways tons of accs getting unbanned from false positives.

I mean yes most of these posts are cheaters trying to get unbanned but i bet around 2-9% of the posts are legit.

I've seen one guy cheating on this game by using fly hacks and Tracers but that was 3 or 2 years ago
