I don't know why but people don't read anything and if they do, they don't think a single bit about what it could mean. You can literally shove a sign in their face and they won't read it.

Happens in real life too. Store is closed, has a sign "closed", the door is shut. Customer bangs on the door and screams "ARE YOU OPEN????"
What difference does it make? This game is NOT Containment Breach, why should it be the same as Containment Breach. Maybe learn how to play the game, it should be quite obvious that your keycard isn't good enough if it says access denied.
