Why do they call SCP-106 "Uncle Larry"
A reference to Larry Singleton? Leisure Suit Larry? Theresa May's cat?
I'm definetly missing something out there

http://i.imgur.com/3HmyzE1.jpg this is what made his name "Radical Larry" because it specifies 106's properties of going through walls and burrowing underground similar to something 106 would do. Uncle just came from the fact hes an old man

Not sure where "uncle" came from, but In an old version of SCP:CB you could find a letter disciplining staff for referring to SCPs by unofficial code names, and the one example they gave was 106 being called "radical larry"

Uncle Larry was originally called 'Radical Larry' due to an image someone listed above me. People then probably thought he looked like your creepy uncle and so they renamed him. The Larry joke went so far that it was his name in the tale 'The Young Man'.
