Huh? Was this feature already promised by the devs?
Not everyone can afford / want to use a mic friend
You can afford a PC, yet not a 10$ headset?
Also, why would you rather use text chat? In most situations, you'll die in the time that it takes to finish typing. Even if you're in 914 with the rest of the orange tide, nobody would rather wait for you to type out every message. Just get a mic.
Mics go for a lot more than 10$ for me
Depending of the quality it can go for 1000$ for one very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mic that doesnt even work properly and 2000 for better quality
Not sure i agree, with the first statement about text chat slowing the game
first of all, adding a text chat will only affect those who dont have a mic, having a mic will remain as the best way of communication,
But rather, it will only cause anything "different" to the MuteBois, the people who dont have a mic and commonly are just lacking any form of communication,
it may slow down the game for those people, But honestly, as long as we make text chat not a significant advantage, like with scp 939, it should be only used by those micless, like its intended, You would only have to have people who send text chat messages be highlighted to 939 and thats it
but its your game i guess..
to be honest, i do not understand why, only people who dont have access to any form of communication would be "slowed down" by this
and even then, it really takes only a few brain cells to say hey, i shouldnt stop to type as im about to be murdered by a SCP
(except its 173, because he is sooo slow that you can watch him and type as you back away)
but i think that beeing slightly "slowed down" is preferable to no form of communication
My mic's only twenty dollars, and it works fine in every aspect. Where the hell are you going for thousand dollar mics?
I was not talking about dollars
