Text to Speech for 079?

Think about it, in Containment Breach it could make a deal with the player, what if it could make a deal with the Nine Tailed Fox to recontain a specific SCP, then later backstab them?

Not quite, 079 is Dr Sbaitso, not DECTalk.

I can't really find a way to get sbaitso to pronounce aeiou like in moonbase, but it would probably be too slow anyways, since in game you wouldn't be able to adjust talking speed like you can in the sbaitso program.

I'm sure people will find a way to ♥♥♥♥ with the text to speech. Nevertheless, I still want this feature.

I mean, have you seen Moonbase Alpha? Text to speech to ♥♥♥♥ with is a pretty damn great thing.

Text to speech talking with 079 would be incredible, I hope to god, buddha, whatever the ♥♥♥♥ out there that it happens.

The devs would have to find a way to mimic that text to speech, perhaps by reverse engineering it. Since it's a DOS program and Sbaitso is the only way to get the 079 voice, I don't think it will be too easy to integrate. Perhaps why 079 has been in development for awhile?

Then again, I know nothing about programming or making text to speech programs, so...

i notice people are saying that 079 will be a sitting duck to who ever has an 05. how about make it so you have to do some sort of task to enter his chamber ontop of having an 05. for example in CB you had to turn off remote door controle. a task like this could be implemented even if it isn't that spacific task. (sorry for getting a bit off topic).

A voice changer would sound next to nothing like 079. Most people who play video games can type at a decent speed, and even then "typing furiously when MTF comes banging on your door." isn't even really required. In fact, other than the intercom (and CASSIE system which 079 will be able to hack into), you'd only be able to talk to SCPs and people in your room.

Hubert has basically confirmed in the comments section of his CASSIE vid that 079 will be able to hijack the CASSIE text to speech system to talk facility wide (for example MTF announcements are from the CASSIE system)

Sounds like a bad idea..anything you want to say would be broadcasted to the entire facility even when you wanted to arrange a private deal with someone...that and the meer fact you probably wouldn't be able to talk constantly like what you can do with 939...

Surely you're misunderstanding, when was it ever stated that everything you say is broadcasted through CASSIE? 079 can hack into it and use it, but that doesn't mean it's forced to use it.

If the devs know what they're doing, 079 will have text to speech that it can use to talk to near by people or perhaps even access the intercom, but that's less likely now that it can hack into CASSIE.
