SR=short range
MR=medium range
LR=Long range
UR=ultra range
Just a few notes even if your on short range people with higher ranges can talk to you but you would need to increase your range to talk back. Your battery will be drained the higher the range so watch out for that.
Good luck!
How does radio work at all?
Radios can hear each other if in range ( So lets say NTF and Chaos can speak together IF both have radios and are in range same for any team combination .)
So lets say 2 people are on SR ( Short range ) one is in Entrance zone , one in Light containment they wont be able to hear each other .
Now both set it to Long Range and they probably can hear each other.
Another scenario would be a Guy from Light containment sets it to UR even people on the Outside probably can hear HIM but the people cant answer to him as long as they dont set it too UR because otherwise he would be out of range of them.
the Higher the mode the higher the drain is.
TL ; DR
Each mode got a "range" and Everyone in that range can hear you .
If you are in their "range" you can hear them.
the modes are
SR=short range ( Normally only same Level aka Light to Light containment and stuff )
MR=medium range ( Normally 1 level above / under aka Light can speak to heavy sometimes )
LR=Long range ( Multi level range )
UR=ultra range ( Close to everywhere Range )
UR is pretty much EVERYWHERE or atleast close to.
I don't usually use the radio because I've had too much ear rapers.. really, and I play with earphones. no, I'm not turning those on again
I am kinda serious and joking at the same time.
Most people probably don't use it because of the battery. It's a one-timey thing. Commanders tell you to turn on your radio, nobody really turns it on.
