i was playing scp yesterday with friends it did not let me use q for some reason as well

try making sure your recording device is to the correct default device in your windows sound settings and disable all others and seemed to work for me, i did do the resintalling mono method before this and it did not seem to work but the latter method did the trick

Tried the above fixes, neither work it has to be something with the game. My mic works in everything else except this game in particular.

If you can't hear anyone on any server, downlaod the mono libarys.
If you can't be heard in game I'll assume you have a Razor headset / microphone in which case they are bugged with this version on Unity. It'll be fixed in the next Unity engine update, however no idea when that'll be. It's out of our hands for now.

I was having the same problem after i reformated my computer. apperently after i download SP1 and windows redistributable c++ 2017 and then got OBS it fixed my problem. idk if this is useful information but it is a solution i have found for myself i hope it helps other people
