Sure, it can hurt the gameplay experience for some, but there aren't many mechanics that would work well lore-wise other than infinite respawns
Who cares about lore? I'm talking about the gameplay being the best that it can be. When you have infinite respawns every round it makes trying to do anything meaningless. No one ever uses the nuke because the SCPs can always turn it off. The game becomes so pointless with infinite respawns. The SCPs have no chance to survive against infinite enemy waves. It just becomes a matter of whether NTF or Chaos kills each other to see who wins. What is the point of a game like this if that's how every round ends? So boring.
But of course nothing will replace my hate towards MTF class...
