Other then that just take a moment to be grateful that at least your more mature then those "adults". If they don't want to play with kids i would suggest they play something that is not F2P and/or is single player game.
A) People who hate kids
B) People who hate the things kids usually do.
Ignore the people in example A, they are like the people you mentioned in your post. Example B which are the majority of people is what im going to help you on. A lot of people would say your voice is this the problem and theres nothing you can do about it but there are things you can change. These things might sound quite small and irrelevant but make a big difference.
Follow these steps/rules:
1) Move your mic away from your mouth a bit. People hate 2 things, loud and high pitched sounds. Some guy with a loud mic is annoying but tolerable, a kid with a loud mic and an annoying high pitch voice is extremely annoying.
2) Don't say random meaningless stuff. Like "Lets find the check point guys". It might sound ok to you but to others they are thinking why are you telling us this we are going to do this automatically every round. It doesn't mean you don't have a conversation, just don't say dead memes and things that don't make sense.
That other time you asked a guard in 914 how his day was etc. Thats okay. Thats roleplaying but the guard acted like a jerk.
3) This is optional but you could try deepening your voice a bit. Take your phone and record you saying something in the volume you would usually talk to other players in the game. Now play that recording so you know how others feel when listening to you.
Tldr: Don't be obnoxious, loud and high pitched. Basically don't be annoying. Remember, a lot of people don't hate kids they hate the things kids usually do.
It's unfortunate for kids and young teens just trying to genuinely socialize on the internet. As others have said, there are reasons for why people have a negative bias against children. Children are known to be well.. immature. Spamming, exploiting, having a bad sense of humor, you name it, has made plenty of people wary of younger players and has given an excuse for them to have a negative attitude towards kids as soon as they meet them. As you have guessed, a kid's higher pitched voice is a dead giveaway and to some an invite for taunting. There's very little you can do about rude, mean, players unfortunately, other than mute them or try to find servers without people like them.
If someone is harassing you in particular, if they're actually trying to focus on you in-game consistently (searching for you in particular as peanut or something), ask a mod for help or leave the server.
If there is a mod or admin on the server and they have a keen sense for excessive harassment they might give you a hand and warn the hooligans.
There are plenty of mean people on the internet. Games like this, party games where the value of the game is from the interaction with others, tend to be especially volatile with an even mix of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and nice people.
Muting yourself is an option if you want, you could try communicating with text only. Though not sure if this game actually has a chat button. That being said, don't be afraid to talk! Have fun! It's your game too!
The more you talk around people the quicker they'll get used to your voice and not feel like ♥♥♥♥ talking you (outside of the conventional SL ♥♥♥♥ talking threshold).
