Can't gather fiber plants!
Something is wrong there
When I spawned in newbie Island, I'm getting only four options when i press on empty ground
1-inspect
2-erect an idol
3-track animal
4-create furniture

Where is the nature's lore? How to gather plant fiber?! How am I supposed to do anything if I can't get plant fiber!

Is that some kind of bugs or what?
BTW my nature's lore skill is 8

Maybe you try to do it not on the ground, but on the road or something? Try to go to forest, hope it helps somehow

u need to go further away from the Town then it works

had the same issue then i walked 3 min in straight line north and voila it fixed it because i was far away enough from the town

Did it work? I been running away from town and still can't get fibre or flint.

I thinks it's F4 that shows you the border of the town also you can't gather fiber or flint on the beach.

It works indeed! As the others say you need to get out of the town virtual border (pressF4).
Just walk a bit more

I can't gather and I'm outside of town...No borders. Can't gather fiber plants. It's judgment hour though...Is it because of that?

lol, thanks to the wisedom of the devs its now a searching game. You search for plants and you get in the vicinity some, now you have to look up and search for those that did appear and harvest. The reason its now nearly impossible to harvest is the autoclicker. I autoclick me off this game now.

you just need a small area of soil with plants on it. The mentioned materials in the vicinity appear also on paved road. But you have to search for the mats on that small soil area. And you get fibres, flintstone and sling amunition. If you do search for wild plants on that same soil area, you get some crops and seeds in the vicinity.

Sorry, but after the patch, it is almost impossible for me to find fibers and flinstones in the newbie island, and i made several pjs, it´s insane imho to lose 1 hour walking and trying to find it (and starving), meanwhile before the patch it was more easy... i am very angry and frustrated... but hey, maybe its me...... i am trying to get to the mechanics of the game in order to make some videos in my channel but this is insane...

Meh, once you know how to find it. Lower grass distance, you'll find them easy. It is now the same mechanic as looking for herbs. I actually like it. More visual than pick any tile and grab w/e...Plus you don't have to do that stupid gathering animation over and over...You just pick them once...I got 30 fibers way faster than how it was before.

Well, i lower the grass distance but cant find any fiber..... i make another character, after a while discover some fibers in the mountain, but not a single flint stone... i think i am gonna give up, an hour wasted walking

have you tried moving away as much as possible from the village?
if you are very far and still not able to gather then just leave newbie island it is just for begginers
you'll undertsnad everything in Abella
