Personal Claims are very confusing
So I've put down a basic personal claim (9 tiles) somewhere and added about 65 copper to it. I don't understand the figures though.

1. It tells me that I have a max claim size of 250 tiles - is that right? I thought it was only 150. 250 seems like a lot.

2. Its given me 6700 stock, but even though I've put a bark box on the land and filled it with items, I have 0 maintenance costs and therefore infinite days on the claim. This doesn't seem right from what I've seen in videos.

3. Is anything I drop or store on the land now safe? (Epleland server)

4. I'm trying to expand the claim size. Are the temporary lands safe, or do I have to wait until tomorrow for them to become permanent?

5. My claim doesn't show up on the map (although I can see it with F4 if I'm near it). I'm wondering if the game has even registered it properly.

Could someone please help me to understand this?

No this should General not be the Case and is likely a Bug.
You should Join the Discord for Supportfrom the Staff.

As Free Account you should have Max 100 Tiles.
And as Premium Max 150 Tiles.

2.
You get a bit of Base and then 100 Points for each Copper Coin.
So that is Correct.

However you should have a Maintenance Cost displayed.
The Costs are
50 per Tile when the Claim is 30 Tiles or smaller
100 per Tile when the Claim is 50 Tiles or smaller
and 200 per Tile when the Claim is 100 Tiles or smaller.

Premium Claim above 100 Tiles is only Possible with Premium and will be Paid in Gods Favour if I remember right.

Again this Sounds like something Bugged out.
You can wait for an Ingame Day to see if the Server Fixes it.
Otherwise you should Contact Support.

3.
Since the Claim is apparently Bugged I am not sure.
Usually anything on a Private Claim is Safe as long as it is inside a Container or is something you can Place.
Just throwing things on the Floor (the Dropped Item Bag) is not Safe because it will be Deleted after a certain time.

4.
No. The Land only becomes Safe after the next Ingame Day when the Claim is Updated.
Until then it only prevents others from Claiming that Land.

5.
Private Claims are not Showed on the Map.
They are far too small anyways.
Only Guild Claims on T2 or higher are Shown on the Map :)

Thanks for all the helpful advice :)

Hmmm, sounds like I'm bugged then. Better join this support Discord.

So how do you keep track of where your personal claim is on the map then? I keep forgetting where mine is.

There is some Symbols on the Right side of your Map.
While you cant show the Size of your Claim.
There is a Symbol for Personal Symbols that should show your own Personal Claim.

However only you can see this.
Others cant see this :)

Thanks. Still not getting anything showing on the map though, so I think claims are not working for me at all :( After all this effort I might have to just give up on the game after all.

I hope the devs are responsive to bug reports...

It turns out that the 250 tiles thing is a bug - it should say 150, like you say.

The zero maintenance cost thing is because I have a premium sub active apparently, which means no claim costs. Horrah!

I can't work out claim resizing either. I know you have to start on the monument and you can only move in 2 directions ... so can you only create claims that end up with the monument in the far corner. Is that right?

I'd like to try to enlarge the claim area but keep the monument in the center of the claim, but it doesn't seem to let me do that.

I think you can do that as well.
By Starting at a Tile outside your Claim which is in reach of it.

But in Worst case.
Just Extend your Claim from the Monument to 1 of the Edges where you want to start.
Then after its Updated use that Edge as a Starting Point to extend the Claim over to Monument in the other Direction so it ends up it the Center :)

Thank you. I sorted it out. Like you say, you can start resizing from any tile outside your current claim as long as the monument ends up somewhere within your new claim area when you finish (you don't have to start at the monument).

150 tiles looks a lot smaller than I was expecting ;_; But then I guess I am just one man! :D

150 Tiles so 15x10 Tiles is Fairly Big.
Even the somewhat Larger Buildings got like 4x6
so you could easily Build a House for 12 People on that and still get alot of other stuff.

A Coop is 1 Tile and a Stable 6 Tiles a Barn is I think 8 or 10 Tiles.
So you can easiyl get an entire Farm onto that xD

Also.
For Cheaper Crops you can just Plant em Outside.
Most Crops especially when your not yet max Quality aint worth Stealing so people wont bother stealing it even if you Plant it outside of your Claim :)

Is it 1 private claim per player or 1 private claim per character?

If its the latter, is it possible to put the claims of your alts next to each other to expand your territory? I'm guessing the upkeep would be expensive, but I'm wondering if it could be done.

1 Per Character.
But you need to have 2 Tiles Distance between Claims.
So you cant use it to Build a Fort or something.

Ah, what a pity lol
Still, I can use the other claim as a private forest for my best trees, or an apple orchard or something. That'll be nice :)

I keep coming across private land claims that cover a huge amount of land! I can see their claim monuments are they are much larger than mine (*ahem*). How are they claiming so much land?

You sure its Private Claims ?
Its likely a Guild Claim.

Claim Colors only tell your Rights on it.

So your own is White.
A friends is Blue.

Unknown us this yellow orange stuff.

So a Private Claim ans a Guild Claim of someone else look pretty much the same.

You only tell them apart by the Monument.
Private has a Monument the size if a Person.
Guild has one 5 times larger :)
