Amazing game!

pros:

• Choosing which skills to use and their trees
  
• Strategy in combat
  
• Choosing the right combination of party members and testing their skills and trees
  
• Loved the explosion death

cons:

• Repetetivnes, the game is too long because of this in a bad way
  
• Some skills felt way weaker and limited the possible strategies
  
• Exploring the dungeons is sometimes boring and long
  
• Recruiting mercs is weirdly random
  
• tweaking trees is costly and clunky for no reason
  
• Money is always a problem, maybe a bit too much
  
• Money problem comboed with reparing problem, creating a weird tedious grind again
  
• The speed of combat is terrible, you can speed it up, but it only speed up some of the animations and crits are pain in the ass, unable to switch the animation off.

Overall i like the game because i like turn based combat, where you can prepare the skills, level up and loot and that's the main premise of the game. I loved into the breach, because every move counted i was important, that's not true for this game at all. I started at medium(3 skulls) difficulty and played like that for half of the game, at the start it feels ok, you level up fast, you choose your team, it's great.

Then after some time you explore the game a bit, try some more mercenaries but I trained my main crew, then the game forces you to have more of them, which I did but fire them quickly because I didn't like grinding one whole team again, but it bited back, as suddenly you are forced to have two teams. For me, this was a bad decision, kinda forced almost out of the blue, you are kinda pushed a bit for this as you get more exp if you have rested team, but as I was saying the game get tidious at times, so I didn't want to have two teams. Before this discovery I switched the difficulty to hardest and suddenly I felt again as doing decision mattered, great! But I could not win with some randomly recruited mercenaries in the first Torin encounter with two teams, bummer. Didn't want to switch diffiuclty back as I have some honor right? :D. Well what I hated very much was finding the right merc, at the start I recruited some and their main abilites(stars) were kinda meh, but as I did't felt it was that of a difference I kept them and it's really ok if you have at least 1-2 good stats and level them the right way. But if ou already have over 20 levels and trying to buy some around 13 level, the bad stats are the only one leved up and you cant chenged that, so you roam around the cities like and idiot trying to find the right comination, I really hated that, then the money problem keeps happening and I was forced to fight with my already perfect team only for that, again the useless grind. At least after some time and leveling the other team I finded some neat combos.

The final mission was very hard, loved it.

I will say some more things that i would change to make this game better.

• The double team missions should have happend a way more often even in open world.
  
• The speed skill is utter garbage and should not be in the game like this
  
• Mercs with almost no mending should not have it as primary stat, it does not make any sense, it's like being a scientist with 80IQ
  
• The retrained should have been done better, maybe just removing points for verry little money insted of whole reset.
  
• The +1 combat in some dungeons felt as the most terrible thing to happen, very little balance in this as it's something you can't control because the time always runs out at least once
  
• Legendary missions are given very little, they should have been given more often also because some of them were kinda dissapointing
  
• The buffs are very badly done, out of sight and bad to understand sometimes.
  
• Reparing is not very fun mechanic, the items get unequiped and hidden in the already bad inventory system.
  
• The dialog system is set up but there are almost no decisions which leads to not reading the side quest at all, as there is no meaning to it. I felt there is a lot of lost potentional there.
  
• I didn't understand the dragon attacks, there was absolutely no interaction with it but save the city or not, which was again just another mission with bad rewards. Maybe I missed some story there. I loved the first time he came, second time I saved the city, but it was meh, third time I was like, ehh, why would I do it? No story, bad rewards... Again some lost pottencial there unless I missed something
  
• The game is really too long, make the fights harder and tripple the exp and it would be much better.
  
• I don't understand why every game needs to have 4-5 difficulties. I understand 3 at the most. But I would still make only two max. You are forcing me to choose a difficulty, I have no clue, how the game is hard, imho every game should be difficult especialy games like this, if it's not, where is the reason to have decision in the mercenaries, skills, combat. Just create normal and hard difficulty. both should be hard to complete and rewarding for player not just create sponge enemies, give more rewards in harder mode...
  
  
  Some final words, I bought this so many years ago in kickstarer and I'm not regreting it, I hope you make a sequel and learn from your mistakes and make even greater game!
