Game doesn't detect controller's directional inputs and LT - RT buttons (Logitech F310)

Helllo,

I recently posted under discussion, but I thought it's better to post it here. I tried to configure the options and the game doesn't detect my directional buttons and the LT/RT buttons for some reason. I already followed Conan's instructions here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/699170/discussions/0/3082124889516980068/

But they didn't work. :(

Controller Issues (Logitech F310)

Hi guys, I was just about to start playing the game and configuring the key inputs via the game's Settings", but it doesn't seem to recognize the directional inputs of my controller as well as the left and right stick. Any ideas?

I've tried checking the "Xbox configuration support" on my Steam's controller settings, but it didn't resolve the issue. :(

Try “Generic Controller Support” instead on that option.

Also, if you have a lot of different peripherals plugged in at once, try unplugging all but the controller. Perhaps try plugging in controller before opening the program / trt plugging in after program is open — see if those make any difference.

Also, if you have an antivirus program, I would recommend making an exception for Fell Seal in it as antiviruses can sometimes get in the way of things.

Ensure your OS and graphics drivers are also up to date.

Sorry for the late reply, but I tried your suggestions and it still doesn't work unfortunately. :(

Any other alternatives you can suggest by any chance?

Since you mentioned “configuring controls”, are you saying you’re trting custom binds? If so, reset to default keybinds and try again.

That's actually the exact controller I'm using - I booted up Fell Seal with it plugged in and didn't run into any issues. On my end I don't have Xbox Configuration Support or Generic Controller Support checked.

If none of the controller settings change anything, then I would guess this a driver issue or an issue with the controller itself (is it working for other games of yours?)

Also btw Robuel, I’ve merged your threads together because it’s the same topic / issue. Posting on the forum in general is the same, so it doesn’t really need to have a second thread.

However, given your continued troubles, I have sent a note to 6 Eyes in case they have further insight on your issue. Crossing fingers.

Thank you so much! I'm glad to say I was able to resolve my issue. :D I got the clue from Mechalibur when he said he was using the same controller so I figured there's probably something that's preventing the game from detecting my directional keys.

It turns out I had something called a "Virtual Joystick" as one of my devices. It was being hidden on the list when I went to controller configuration which I didn't notice at first. After disabling it on my device manager everything started working perfectly now. :D
