Obviously I can’t complely answer your question on Bleed, but I can tell you WW’s Bite applying poison comes from the idea of WW bite—disease—curse / rabies kind of thing. Since there isn’t a “diseased” debuff, they decided to go with poison, as it accomplishes what they’re looking for, and is the “closest thing” to disease / rabies.
And yes, I too appreciate the recent Bounty Hunter changes.
Sorry for the late reply, we've been extremely busy lately, trying to get the next big build ready.
We've been keeping tables on all debuffs and their availability, but I think with some of the recent changes (like to the Fellblade class), it might have thrown some of those off a bit. I'll make a note to double check that and make sure it's where we want it to be.
I'm not certain we'll want more abilities tied to it specifically (after all, if you count the vampire, there's a fair amount of bleed effects), but it's certainly worth double check, I agree!
Thanks for the feedback :)
thanks for the answers, it was just something I noticed after the last playthorugh.
Now that Conan mentioned the "rabies" thing about Warewolf, I have to admit that is a valid point. And yes, Vampire do have a lot of Bleed options.
As always, keep up the good work 6 Eyes, this game is amazing as it is your commitment with the community.
P.D. Can't wait for the next big build update :)
In terms of gameplay, the way it is designed probably makes the most sense. Good work keep it up!
This is part of why (in my big generic class synopsis), when talking about being able to give Druid a minor redesign that kept it doing mostly all the same things while removing technical overlap, one of my suggestions was a Bleed spell (in place of the borrowed Poison one). There's a lot of really good ways to access Poison (Plague Doctor, Fellblade, Werewolf immediately come to mind), most of which also have access to Weaken, but there's little to nothing to really access Bleed anymore.
If I'm wrong, do correct me, but this status (in my experience) has gone from being a key part of any non-DPS strategy to pretty much no longer being a factor in general play because nothing besides monsters has meaningful access to it, especially compared to the (generally more powerful / useful) Poison status.
(Also, damn, we're on 8.0.0 now? I really need to find the time to catch up on the new battle content. Aaaaa.)
