what is the difference between this game and Doki Doki literature club plus?

Hi,

I have seen on steam there is a "Doki Doki literature club plus" game which is in my wishlist from then.

But yesterday I had this game in my discovery list (from steam) and saw it was free, so i got it.

So now i'm wondering what is the relation between the game?

is "plus" a sequel? a remake? a remaster?

It's a remaster. There are added features, some side stories, and the art was improved. There's not a lot of "new" stuff comparatively speaking, but IMO, it was worth the money to support the creator.

You won't miss anything in the main story if you play the free version first. If you enjoy it, then you might consider supporting the dev by buying the remaster with a few hours of side stories giving more character development.
