It’s a Remaster with more content and what looks to be several possible endings. The “Side Stories” are “Alternate Timelines” that look to be from the characters perspectives.

All the best stuff is at least that expensive, but they also tend to be 30+ hours. If the game is under 10 hours, I'll probably just catch a Let's Play.

That's the thing. I can understand something like STEINS;GATE being a 15$ game (and even then it was 50% cheaper just a few months ago), but DDLC? Not so sure about it.

Definitely. I'd pay 30 for Steins;Gate in a heartbeat. But really depends on how much is being added for this one. And what kind of content. I don't really like the dating sim part of DDLC, so if it's a bunch of that, I'm not really interested, but a good extension on the main plot would be great. Gonna have to wait and see.

It is is an extension on the main plot, in a way. But as far as I can judge right now, there won't be a lot of dark themes and the psychological horror aspect is completely out of question since the game is somewhat of a prequel to the OG.

But yeah, we'll have to wait and see.

It doesn't seem like a prequel. The side stories are stated to be alternate points in time, but what scenes we've been teased with seem to be within the brief timeframe of the girls already having met. I don't suspect we'll see, for example, anything before they'd already joined the club. It does look like the choices made through the story will carry more weight to them if there's more than one ending. Whether we're getting some prequel input or just seeing what was happening when the MC wasn't around I'm looking forward to some legit context that we fans have only been speculating with theories and mods.

With it being on console I don't believe it will have the same ending as before in terms of the base game, what with us being unable to access the "files", but I also don't suspect the story will pretend the base game never happened and that there may be some hints that this has all been done before.

I wonder how they're going to handle the ending? since you can't really access the game's files on consoles, and i wonder how long it will be too, i guess i'll have to wait to get to answer to those.
