There are way too many OCs for me to accept this as a DDLC mod, so I skipped it, but this is probably the site you're looking for. No spoilers, but lemmie know if the story is faithful to DDLC (specifically Monika being self-aware) or if they'd taken too many liberties with all their OCs for this to still be DDLC.
Monica is not "self aware " indeed :) I mean irl :D But I think monica is self aware in story .
All mods that turn DDLC into a generic dating sim essentially strip away the soul of the game for some trashy, watered-down facsimile with shallow representations of the characters likeness that have more to do with the modders personal fantasies rather than DDLC. This is all the more apparent by the overabundance of useless OCs.
Correct me if I'm wrong about any of this, but all I see is a garbage mod by someone who only cares how the characters "look" and the popularity of the source material while completely ignoring everything else about them.
True Literature Club
TLC is a rather short mod that aims to add endings to each of the characters. There's even a shortcut feature to blast through the 3 poem minigames with a result screen saying who Liked, Loved or Hated the poem. The game doesn't change until you get to the Weekend choice.
Monika is still self-aware, but has a valid reason for choosing not to corrupt the game which you will only achieve if you unlock her Sunday choice.
Hint: Each character must love one of your poems at least once and none of them can hate any of your poems.

The Purist Mod
If you happen to be a fan of dating sims or want a fuller DDLC story this mod adds +11 hours of additional content, custom music and delivers it's own messages of patience, trust and acceptance. This mod doesn't change much until after the Sunday choice, after which you get into deeper backstories of the characters that feature both a good ending and bad ending. While this mod doesn't go through the "second half" of the base game it doesn't ignore what had taken place and even has a few cheeky reminders sprinkled about. The mod starts in Monikas "space room" where she is not happy that you reinstalled the game and tries to delete it, but realizes her power to manipulate the game has been taken away by the mod. She reluctantly agrees to help you "save them".
While Monika chooses to help you achieve the ending you wanted behind the scenes her route is still not an option. Can you prove that happiness can be found here?

Monikas Before Story
Despite the name the mod isn't actually about Monika only. Rather, the game takes place shortly before the base game had taken place and the mod forces the story to alter in a way that the MC is the Club President, Monika is the Childhood Friend, Sayori is a close friend of Monikas while the MC tutors her in math and Natsuki and Yuri remain relatively unchanged. The MC has more personality as he's not some generic slouch, though the general beats to the base game are followed with these minor/major tweaks. Monika IS an option, but each character has their own story to tell should you pursue it.
Several times through the game it seems that the MC knows more than he's letting on, but at the same time it's more like a deja-vu dream to him. The game forcefully deletes the character files in the beginning, but if you want to dig a bit deeper there's a way to unlock a 2nd full game hidden within the files.
Hint: Don't let the mod delete the files.

While Blue Skies does turn DDLC into a dating sim of sorts, the characters work exactly like in the OG. Which, in turn, leads us to the next point - bad endings for all 3 characters. "Generic dating sims" usually don't feature a bad ending, and even if they do, more often than not it's something like "MC and that girl broke up in the end and now everyone is sad". In Blue Skies, bad endings are directly connected to the problems girls had in the original game, and you can probably guess what happens in each of them (it is a choice-driven mod, all of the choices reflect on how this particular girl is and they actually matter). Oh, and I almost forgot one thing - it is implied that all of the events of the original game did happen, but Monika chose to get rid of her self-awareness on purpose and let you do your own thing.
Also worth to mention that Blue Skies features a ♥♥♥♥ ton of new sprites, an original soundtrack and a heavily expanded story. If the mod creators only cared about "how the characters "look" and the popularity of the source material", then they wouldn't be bothered to do all of this. Common sense, my dude.
In the end, it comes down to your personal preference. You may not like it and that's okay, I don't consider it a God tier mod myself. Still doesn't change the fact that a lot of effort were put into it and calling it garbage is simply not fair.
I'm sure you've played a few mods that left you feeling like the mod just "missed the mark" or that the mod makers view was too different from your own. If you've played multiple mods that left you feeling this way then it's natural you'd avoid mods that follow a similar trend. For me, any mod that seeks to turn DDLC into a generic dating sim while ignoring the "second half" is just garbage. If the mod description doesn't elude to to the events of the base game or if there aren't some heavy hints early on I either start skimming through it or outright stop playing.
When I look at the description to "Blue Skies" I see too much that isn't DDLC. Couple that with +20 hours of additional content I'd rather get some prior information before jumping in. While I'd rather avoid spoilers the biggest seller would be whether or not Monika is still self-aware and if she's not that's an immediate pass from me because the first thing that tells me is the "second half" is being ignored.
DDLC is the only VN I've ever taken a shining to. I absolutely hate dating sims because it's always the same story, over and over again with the same re-skinned candy colored jail-baits and bland, unrealistic character tropes. I kid you not that a few years ago a friend tried to get me into another VN that was a dating sim with an idiotic plot (you know the kind, whatever stupid circumstances that lead to the bimbos of the story getting put into compromising situations and/or falling in love with you, the village idiot) and instead of just turning it down I wrote down on several sheets of paper my guess to the character traits based solely on several characters appearances and asked him to describe them before turning over the paper and showing them what I'd written. My guesses were uncanny because that's just how horribly expected the writing was for the random main characters I picked.
While I shouldn't judge the mod before playing it you'll have to forgive me for jumping to conclusions when it looks like something I'm invested in becomes bastardized. Just to clarify the reasoning for my judgement, I distinctively asked about Monika being self-aware and you said "no" and went outta your way to give details in how "this isn't the same Monika". I'm not gonna waste time on a mod that sounds like it'll piss me off long before any redeeming qualities surface.
