Natsuki?
Does anything bad ever happen to Natsuki or does she also have another secret personality? I didn’t spend much time with her during the second part of the game since I gave it all to Yuri. I was wondering if she ever experienced any deaths other than just Monika or if we ever got to learn about her home situation.

Natsuki's character file can be decoded and translated to: Open Your Third Eye: I can feel the tenderness of her skin through the knife, as if it were an extension of my sense of touch. My body nearly convulses. There's some thing incredibly faint, deep down, that screams to resist this uncontrollable pleasure. But I can already tell that I'm being pushed over the edge. I can't...I can't stop myself.

Natsuki is one of the more interesting cases in this game.

From her First Act poems, it's clear she often questions the fuility of choice and seems resigned to her fate. Most of this seems to stem from her father, but even in the club she finds that her friends don't really take her seriously.

In Act 2, we get more information that her relationship with her father is infinitely worse. In her "
""""""""special"""""""" poem, there's signs of neglect, abuse, sexual abuse...All kinds of uncomfortable ♥♥♥♥.

The oddest thing with her for me is her relations with Monika. Monika doesn't drive her to suicide like the other two girls, and even seems to show some sympathy towards her in some situations. Like throwing her the bar in the Second Act.

Whether that was sympathy or just to make herself look better is unknown and up for debate. Still, she never is the main focus in either the First or Second act. Even then, Monika isn't above modifying her, in some of the more terrifying Act 2 scenes and when she brought it upon herself to write that call for help.

Perhaps as is said, she's often overlooked...And that applies to both the other girls and the game itself. Yet she has the most interesting insight and also the most interesting First Act path, in my opinion.

It's another great topic of discussion! She's kinda in a very interesting spot with all of the other characters.

How do you get her 'special' poem?

Natsuki never does anything bad apart from arguing with Yuri. She is a Good Girl and should be patted on the head for it. -w-

I remember Monika dropping lines about her father never feeding here and not keeping food in the house, and that's why she's so small and skinny; she's extremely malnourished. That's also why she freaks out when Monika gives her the candy bar, it's probably the only thing she's eaten in a while.

Though this may just be a drastic hyperbole crafted by Monika, since Natsuki seems to have plenty of baking supplies when she comes over to your house. When the game resets for the first time, Natsuki's love for baking never comes up, which leads me to believe that in the first run, she isn't all that unusual.

Honestly though, I don't know why people always go with Yuri over Natsuki, the latter seemed much more interesting from the start imo

Yeah, I second this. I focused on Sayora on the first part and Yuri on the second. I wonder what happens if you choose to help Natsuki instead of Yuri on the first half, and then focus on her on the next. What sort of personality does she have? I'm calling schitzo as she mentioned hearing things etc.
I worked on natsuki and ended up sayori hanging herself so I don't know

Sayori kills herself no matter what happens, it's part of the game.

Also, I missed any sexual abuse clues and I want to believe its fake, please let natsuki not have to endure that as well
this is the first ive heard about it. i dont think enough information was given to point specifically to this, but i could have missed it.

there are ton of hints that she is being starved and sexually abused

And given marshmallow while reading manga together with her and generally have someone to be friends with. I was with her from the start.

I don't think its just the first run, when you are working with her she mentions that her dad would kill her if she had a boy over, which seemed very prominent and could have easily been glazed over but they put it in anyway. I think after the first act is when it really started to show evreryones problems in a very straight forward fashion; Nat's being her abusive dad.

I think that was more foreshadowing than anything else. "____ would kill me if I ____" is a pretty common phrase, and I think Monika just blew it wayyyy out of proportion.

Actually if you only pick Natsuki's words in the poems throughout the whole game (cuz shes the best)( thats a reference about when she comes out and tells you why she acts all confident, so she can make other people think she's the best, she just wants someone to be proud of her ) and youre at act 2 after Sayori kills herself the first scene she'll say "My dad would beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me if he found out i had this" about her manga collection also i think this is a random occurance but during the second fight between Natsuki and Yuri, will make a comment on how Natsuki looks for lost coins under the vending machines because her father doesnt give her money for lunch so she has to look for any trance amount of money so she can eat and also if you went through her story she says i need to eat as much of dad food as possible, I think its either because she doesnt know the next time she'll eat OR its because her dad will get offended and beat her Also i wanna add something, I got a secrete poem from Natsuki that was a weird coded note supposedly it says

Which really sounds like the dad is taking advantage of her or the poem is by her dad about natsuki.

Sayori kills herself no matter what happens, it's part of the game.

That was my epiphany. The foreshadowing was so viscous, I was not shocked. But at that moment, I knew there was no second chance.

I think after going back for the good ending, I've seen just about all there is to see.
In Act 1:
- She hides her manga from her dad
- Uses DDLC as an escape and gets mad when they try to invite more people
- Is very defensive and insecure
- Saves her appetite for when dad is cooking
- likes to overcome low obstacles, conscious about size
- writes bout futility of trying (eagles can fly), and being judged for hobbies (amy likes spiders)
- has strict times when she has to be home
- says her dad would never allow a boy over their house
- papa is one of her poem trigger words
In Act 2: (exaggerated by monika so take with grain of salt)
- passes out from malnutrition, possible height explaination
- dad would "beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me" if he found her manga
- her secret poem about papa is the most we hear of her dad
- he neglects her, doesnt talk to her, rarely feeds her/leaves her money or food to get it
- she has to dig around couches for coins he dropped
- is never around until night and he is very loud and wakes her up (possible abuse)
- the last line that is heavily emphasized is "I like when papa is too tired to notice me. I like when papa is too tired for anything" (could be sexual abuse)
She never actually dies or anything, the closest is the "play with me" jumpscare. You can't really focus her for act 2 as Yuri's obsessive personality keeps you from others.
