Is this game worth it if I'm only going to play single player?
I like the atmosphere of apocalyptic zombie games but I don't really have anyone to play with over VC.

Nope, and not worth it for multiplayer either imho - even at the current sale price.

Unless of course you enjoy getting milked like a cow on a dairy farm.

I bought it strictly for single player and it's fun enough, however, unless you buy the season passes or some of the individual guns (micro-transactions) to go with the base game, things get extremely dull with the lack of guns you get to choose from. Rebellion really mucked up the fun in this one by locking everything behind seasons passes.

Just finished the game in single player mode with all DLC maps, its quite fun.
Base weapons imo are better than DLC weapons, except for the grenade launcher. Rest of the weapons felt lacking, perk and skin wise, they definitely pulled back on them. DLC maps on the other hand, they are great.

It's obvious you didn't do everything you say with your copy here on Steam @ 16.6 hours game time. But then you never answered the OP's question either, you just said "it's quite fun".

So do you think it's worth $120 plus here on Steam (assuming the rest of your playthrough was via another game launcher or your xbox game pass)?

Your post is off topic as it doesn't answer the OP's question: "Is this game worth it . . .?" if the OP pays the asking price here on Steam for all the content??????

If I'm wrong about your playthrough and gametime via another launcher for much less cost, then do you think that you had so much fun in your 16.6 hours of game time that it made the minimum of $120 sale price of the base game (and all the dlc's) worth it? Really? That good eh? $120 for 16.6 hours of game time?

ignore salty people who dont have money, the game is fun tbh. if you liked the others youll like this, and if you havent played the others then this i still a good third person zombie game.

Go ahead, tell me all about my discretionary income. You know nothing.

Assume less, know more. Then post. Only one being salty is you.

As someone who owns most of the Rebellion catalogue, my recommendation is to buy one of the older titles.

Its cheaper and its the exact same experience, if you dont like Nazi Zombie Army 1 (or Zombie Army Trilogy, which includes it) you will not like this one.

If you do like it and want more, then work your way through the series :D

This series and Sniper Elite series mostly just have had graphical upgrades and diferent themes through the series, but their core gameplay are the same throughout.

The game is good but the pricing model is what kill the game.
Multiplayer game need community to stay alive this what Rebellion try not to achieve.
They did what they did best, milk the Sh!tz out like all of their game from Zombie Army Trilogy, Sniper Elite and Strange Brigade.....
All launch at st00pid price and let the game die...few years later 75%-85% all time.

I played it say 50/50 solo/mp and I think it's well worth it even for only single player. That is if you like the formular (bit repetitive but also relaxing) of the other Rebellion games. Not sure why there is such an outcry here for a 50bucks game but I guess it has a lot to do with it being released on Epic beforehand.
If you played the other Rebellion games I'd say it's a good mix of ZAT and Strange Brigade. Not as grim and unforgiving (and clunky..) as the ZAT but also not as...well playful and punchless as Strange Brigade was.

Since the formular is quite niche and rather timeless it's not comparable imho to AAA games that look and play flashy but you wouldn't actually play again over and over.

70 Hours, hard difficulty, all collectibles and 5 weapon mastery. I'm also at level 80.
I'm not always connected to the internet, since i'm playing single player. You could've also checked my achievements, all but the horde mode left.

Bought the full game + both expansions for 25 $
I forgot about publisher's different store prices. Why is the game priced at a 150% increase in the US and 190% in the EU :/ usually its the other way around in my case. I take what I said back then, wait for a bigger sale.

Fair enough "Harbi", I stand corrected, thanks for clarifying things. Your original post makes a lot more sense now.

Myself, I spent 66 hours with ZAT and finished a complete solo play through on sniper elite difficulty. Had a lot of fun figuring out what I needed to do to get through each level on my own (without watching any walkthrough videos/guides).

I'd really like to play through this game too, but after watching several game play videos and reviews on youtube, I've decided it's just not worth it (fwiw) at the current price point, even with the current sale. I think I'd rather just buy another game or two for the same money, and if I need to scratch my zombie killing itch, I'll just reload the trilogy and play through it again focusing on getting some of the acheivements I missed the first time through.

The paywalls for the dlc of this game just seem like an obvious cash grab imho. I'm not upset about it, just disappointed that I feel like I'd need to let Rebellion take advantage of me (already a loyal customer) in order to do so. Again, imho, it's a bad business practice if you ask me and they're losing like-minded customers in the process.

Bottom line, I'd rather play through ZAT again than pay $60 usd for the super deluxe edition plus another $26 usd for SSN2 (ttl. $86 usd) in order to be able to do a complete play through of this game (that is until they release yet another triplet of maps and it costs another $25 or more to finish playing all the content. I'm not going to be their cash cow, too many other good games to play to allow them to do that.

Thanks for your reply "Harbi", I can understand your perspective now. Peace and game on!

You need to buy extra guns to enjoy single player :steamfacepalm: thanks, i was going to buy not anymore until they drop the price into a realistic 1 without greedyness level 999.

I don't have any dlc and I enjoy the game, the basic weapons are the ones I like the most. I hate having to pay for half of the missions and that it costs more than the full game. I definitely recommend playing it, but if you are going to play offline I don't recommend paying for it, you better get the trial version.
