There are several weapons that can be upgraded to take out an Elite (butcher, gunners etc), several of the pistols, machine guns, have specific ammo for killing Elites, my favourites are, shotgun pistol, 7.65mm polizeipistol , Russian nagant m1895 pistol, Webley, machine guns sten mk2, m3 grease gun. These weapons will work even on brutal, have fun :-)).

yes i was looking at upgrading as many weapons as possible.. does the damage bonus stack when you master weapons.. it says when mastered it adds damage to your guns
