Why such a small community?
Now maybe i shot myself in the foot not buying the $150 worth of content here, and no one runs the base game maps....but its so hard to find people looking for multiplayer without preplanning. Does everyone hide in the DLC? Game is solid fun why doesnt anyone play?

saturday afternoon and 4 multiplayer horde games running all with 1-2 people in each game and at least one with an afk guy in lobby. am i missing something?

Coming out a year ago on Epic first won't have helped, although the game is still missing features and full of bugs so god knows what was going on over on Epic.

Would love to know the stats on purchases on Epic compared to Steam and the player count at its peak.

Yeah see i didnt realize the game is over a year old. It all makes more sense knowing that, this game feels like a game that isnt being played for "some other reason than the game being bad" as the game is quite good.

Sad thing, the sniper elite mechanics, the slow shambler style of zombie, and the maps all make this game a great iteration of a zombie horde mode game. Hope this isnt the last iteration of this game due to low playerbase.

I will pick this up eventually as I've loved playing the other ZA and SE games, but until they actually put Toggle Aim in and there's a good deal on the Steam Super Deluxe version I'm out.

mostly empty in asia region, but i believed that it will peak at wednesday when the weekly event got reset. They should reset the weekly challenge to weekend so that it would encourage more players to play during free time with friends.

This game is pretty dead. Current player count is 200 players on a weekend. Going exclusive on Epic certainly didn't help. Only giving us three primary guns, four secondaries, and three pistols in the base game didn't help. Making us buy the rest of the guns, maps, and skins through DLC hell didn't help.

Didn't Rebellion make enough money already by going exclusive on Epic? Why the same old greedy behavior on Steam? Does Rebellion enjoy looking like a second-rate EA or Activision?

only way to get regular players is to add those who want to play the game as friends and when you are online as host is to invite them ,this I have tried and it works ,but be selective in whom you add as a friend,as there are so many who just run around as headless chickens and do not play as part of a team ...there is an easy solution to that ,then just delete them as friends ..simple.As for discord ? who wants to hear screaming kids all the time? I for one dont.

Yea no need for discord, put ingame voicechat back in. For example: I have some friends from another game (Left 4 Dead) We use to talk in game there only (which is not a problem for others as people are cool there, coming from modded/private servers) They now play a lot Zombie Army 4. Only one of them uses teamspeak or alike. Turns out we don't play with the others as no voice comunicating doesn't make sense in coop games. See it how you want, but this kind of scenario is there as well. No need to ignore it saying it's good that there is ingame voice chat. All games which use this feature, have a way to disable/mute this thing or certain people.

Dividing a game into 1000 chunks and wanting to make a huge profit for it is what you have.
A large percentage of Users will go from buying this abuse to the consumer. Myself and the rest of the people I know laugh when they see the prices with the dlcs. It's a shame that a game like this rotten and is forgotten by greed

And by the time they decide to purchase the game when all you sceptics are waiting for it to be heavily discounted, then the game itself will be dead. You are in a lose lose situation .

Price. Simply put, being out for a year as exclusive for epic then releasing at full price with large portions of content as dlc has driven me and alot of others interested away. I just dont want to spend £40 on a year old game with its pizza slices hidden behind further pay walls.

Keep an eye out for a sale though, if it goes for 50% or more off, it should spike up. otherwise, you might want to find some more dedicated players till then.

More like 80%+ off. The Super Deluxe Edition doesn't even give you all the season passes. It just has season pass one so you won't get the rest of the maps and guns. Even if there was an amazing deal where you got everything for $30-$40 (which isn't that amazing for a year old game) you still have to hope there are other players to co-op with. Too much risk and greed to deal with.

I would rather say the price didn't help. Most Epic exclusives are released on Steam at 50%, often 29.99$.

Personally, I would have bought it day one with such a price but I'm not waiting at least a 50% discount before buying it. I already waited a year, there's no hurry.

I love this game, but one more reason this can't evenbe remotely as active as other coop games is the lack of servers and bad internet code. A few minutes ago I restarted my game 3 times because we got disconnected bcs of steam problems (while my other friends kept enjoying their game on l4d, without any problems. and yes steam was offline for them too) I know dedicated server for this game will never happen and probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but they could at least improve the netcode, so the shots don't feel as lagged if you are not the host.

niche game + repetetive due to nature of the game, which they tried to do something against + EGS exclusivity + no real advertisement on steam release.
