Why would you do that? You can play with steam people and the game is not really on sale with it's 10%. No reason to not wait IMO
So I can finally uninstall the Epic Games Launcher.
Epic is just crap. No Player Profiles, you don't even see who's exactly adding you as a friend, you can't buy gifts for friends, there is no cloud option for savegames etc.
If that's all important for you, then go for it. I only add friends for my main game usually and thats not ZA. Cloud save is the first thing you should disable even on steam if you are smart. It's not hard to remember to move your savegames from your userfolder in windows before you decide to make a fresh windows install. Otherwise the risc is high losing your savegames bcs there was a problem with the cloud. The gift thing on steam is not what it used to be anyways and steam seems to get worse and worse with any update. Anyway I got you. My plan was to move over as well, just so it's easier sharing screenshots etc, but I already paid 51€ for the deluxe edition and the 3 aditional maps they release with season 2. I love the game, but I don't see myeself buying only the base game this time only for about the price I got the super deluxe and all DLC maps for about the same price on the last epic sale.
I added the launcher to steam renaming it do the actual gamename and i can boot the game like my other steam games just fine with overlay etc. plus I can play with steam people just fine.
I'll buy it again when it's cheaper, just to have a slightly better integration into steam like I have now, bcs the game is amazing.
Same boat.
At least i can justify myself a bit, because it was about the same price buying the game again on Steam as buying Season Pass 1 & 2 on Epic due lack of regional pricing.
At least i can enjoy the 6 "new" levels without having the pain of that interface (it was literally better to use discord to actually find people online with that.
Fast forward to now... Zombie Army 4 is on Steam. I prefer Steam as its an account I've had for nearly 20 years. I like that I can gift games through Steam because its often how I provide presents on birthdays and holidays. I like the ease with which my friends can chat, voip and join games on Steam. I'd prefer IF all my games were through Steam. My hope was that I could port over Zombie Army 4 to steam then buy the season 2 pass for myself and others through Steam.
So yeah I was just hoping for a way to add the game to Steam and buy the DLC's through Steam.
Ofc if the game needs an update you will need to launch epic client from to time but that's it.
I mentioned that in one of my posts as well, but I highly doubt you can just ignore epic that way and only run it for updates. Back then with Borderlands 3 I tried many things and the only way to do it was to add the laucher itself to steam and rename it to the games name. Then making sure the epic launcher is not on in the background. Always start through steam first, otherwise the game will run, but it would stop being shows in your gameinfo status and steam overlay would stop working as well.
but if you really wants to win steam you need to add more function like review like communicate like player page.
now you just spend money for nothing and you make good game only on epic . that makes player hate you.
hope some better game develop tools can win the epic one and make they have no money.
