GPU was lost, game crash
Every time a friend and I boot up the game and begin a co-op campaign my game will randomly crash with the error claiming that my GPU was lost and the game cannot continue. Is anyone else having this issue? Any known fixes?

my game keeps crashing after a few minutes of game play. i've checked the graphic drivers, and they're up to date. directX 12 is installed on my computer (windows 10 64bit). this is the only game that i'm having this issue with. i just bought it and can't play it for long. it's annoying. i get the BSOD that says, "System Thread Exception Not Handled". i've tried launching the game on both DirectX and Vulkan and the problem still persists. EDIT: this also happens when i play either solo or with a co-op campaign.

As with Strange Brigade and ZAT i think the problem is STEAM OVERLAY here also!
Disable it and try launching game again.
For me it fixed Strange Brigade crashes ...

i have all kinds of games. especially action ones like this one. as i stated previously, this is the only game i'm having an issue with. the rest of my games work like a charm. so, it's either the drivers, or it's steam.

well, after all the bull$hit troubleshooting, i still had a device driver that was corrupted. i kept getting the BSOD. and trust me, i tried EVERYTHING. anyhoo, i reinstalled windows 10 to see if that would solve the issue. BOOM! it works like a charm now.

I will try this.
DX12 is bit buggy in ZA4 lots of people get "gpu was lost" error when playing with dx12. Best solution is to play on vulkan until issue is fixed.

For me, the crash always occurred at the point of a save point and only at this save point. So I simply loaded the save point manually and overwrote it directly with a new save (instead of continuing the campaign, simply select a chapter and overwrite the save manually).

Not a single crash since then. As I said, it was a faulty save point that was automatically made by the game. I have not really Issues with DX12. It works well

the same here too, that DX12 crashes and with vulcan the sounds completely disappear from the game. What help?
