its a promotional cameo, and i agree it is a bit weird, but imo, it would be weirder to have a cameo from a character of the franchise that was the source inspiration, and even more odd considering the reason this game exists is because the ip owners cared little about the franchise or the opinion of the dev that made this game possible (iga).
also, imo, if the were going to include this kind of cameo, it would make more sense if it comes with a new bonus boss, enemies and items. without those, the "cameo" feels more like an "alternative skin", because the gameplay remains more or less the same.
as side note, i would prefer Hat Kid from A Hat In Time, with time freezing hat, and a few new cat enemies based in the "cat trains" from one of the expansion dlcs, and a few other ahit related things.
i also would like that rather than recycling the shard system for miriam, it used it in another way: ie the new character (ie hat kid) wouldnt use the shards, but could collect them, and player could switch between characters in the same file. this mode would make more sense in a "new game+" file
Best of luck with the hotfix for the strange achievement bug, I look forward to finishing them when you are through.
Yet here they sit, complaining, criticizing, insulting even.
Honestly - what is the deal with the salt? Look at the past two weeks we've seen a game about Vampires that released in Early Access with TWO paid DLC's and then just today Blizz released F2P game that literally forces you to constantly fork over cash in order to progress through the game.
Seriously, at least show a little gratitude - That is some serious passion put in to a title that as long as their roadmap was correct - DID NOT need to include anything else.
Am I missing something, or are customers suddenly not supposed to have issues with a product when it turns out to be defective?
Because that's what v1.3.0 was: a defective product. The update broke the game, and we were forced to sit around and wait for it to be fixed for over a month. If this were a material product, you'd be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it too.
But somehow, just because the game isn't filled with the standard predatory monetization of the industry, we're supposed to completely brush off any legitimate concerns we might have ?
You're delusional.
