There are more playable characters?

Do they get different stories too, or do NPCs just not call me "Miriam" anymore and everything else is the same? because I did notice that NPCs do address me by name, instead of using generic terms, which is slightly unusual for a game with voice acting and multiple playable characters since they'd have to have these lines for every character...
no stories bro, no npcs bro, you just run thru the maps and kill stuff, theyre all prertty borig imo
The Castevania series is male-dominated thats why. They wanted to do something different. And given how sexist Japan is I think its pretty liberal of them.

I got tricked when I was a kid and played the first metriod game. Finished the game thinking I was a man and I was a woman!!! I quickly jumped in the shower and had my own crying game.

It's too bad no one had taught you that boys don't cry.

No, but I did learn that there's no crying in baseball.
because #killallmen!
We got fanservice instead of fatcrobats, so I'm happy.

No, the implication (as well as the explicit statement) is that a majority of males that are very specifically heterosexual are drawn towards women that match whatever their perception of attractiveness is. Of course, that perception itself tends to both influence and be influenced by how women are portrayed across various media, which DOES have many implications and conclusions that can be drawn from it, but that's a separate issue. In this particular topic, the point is that "sex sells", in every possible meaning of that phrase. Not just the verb "sex", as an act, but also the noun (or adjective?) "sex", as a characteristic, attribute, or physical state of being that a person might exist in. Attractiveness, women, female characters, the social construct of femininity (be it healthy or toxic), and (suggested) sexual gratification all sell. Specifically, it sells to the type of person that these companies believe the majority of their male customers are, and also to the type of person they believe the majority of their female customers are. They've spent a lot of years refining this formula, trying to get the mixture just right so that it appeals to both of those seemingly contradictory types of people. And they've honed it pretty well. Of course, that's not to say this assessment of their customers is actually correct, but it evidently hasn't damaged their sales enough to prove them wrong.

No, what you're talking about is not implying, but inferring. Which is entirely on you. And it's also wrong, for a number of reasons. For one thing, there are plenty of people who have said no such thing about those games, because they DO find the characters to be sexy, in what you describe as a cool/tough way, and I'm sure there are even people who say as much. For another, it depends on a very selective reading of what was written. But mostly, it's just because you don't recognize, understand, or know how to take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ JOKE, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!
After the first few sentences, I skipped to the last sentence, because a common thing that people do when they write a long response like this, is to save their insulting/nasty comment for the end, after you've already wasted time reading their essay. And lo and behold, that's exactly what this was. Glad I didn't waste my time reading the rest of your post. Bye.

Bye, Felicia.
@Muado 93, are you a man, or a woman? Remember the debacle of that game that was politically correct and inclusive, you know, Concord? Yeah, no one wants polititarding in their video games, well, except maybe you, and any of your fake sock puppet/ChatGPT/AI bot accounts that you use in order to give yourself "support" on Steam discussion posts, anyway.

Are you an ally of Kim Bel Air and her Sweet Baby, Inc. crew, or Anita Sarkeesian and her equally toxic small group of man hating freaks? I'm convinced that you are from either group, or that you're a bot that's been made by either group of people.

I have zero problem with the state of egalitarianism they claim to be trying to encourage. I just happen to think that the business they created, ostensibly to aid in the pursuit of their stated goals while providing an income to support that pursuit, is actively detrimental to it.
