Fix Randomizer please!!!!!

Did you guys not test this at all? I have not been able to clear a game yet in randomizer mode. Fix the stupid dam soft locks PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've said it before and I often wonder is many of these so-called softlocks are people not actually finding every chest, not finding every shard, or missing something else (for instance, they have double jump and haven't found the item to make high jump but haven't farmed every enemy)

i'm playing on shuffle key items. there are only 4 locations in the main castle where key items can be. zangetsuto isnt in any of them. so yes, i'm softlocked. there's literally nowhere else it could be but DoB or FT.

and people have already posted screenshot proof of zangetsuto landing in FT by using cheats or glitches to get there and confirm.

Um, while I haven't played on Shuffle Key Items myself, pretty sure I've seen it mentioned that there's a lot more than that, including Hair Apparent stuff and so on.
I'm aware that some seeds have had the Zangeststo down in the Den or Tomb but what I'm saying is I imagine it's not as prominent as some people are saying.

hair apparents are not key items, whoever said that was probably playing on key items anywhere. the key item list is all 4 secret room keys, silver bromide, and the zangetsuto. all of those locations will always drop one of those 6 items when key items are set to shuffle.

Not sure how this thing got added to the game with it being bugged, but it should not take this long to push out a hotfix to prevent the sword from being able to appear inside the final area.

this is exactly what i was thinking, and it's pretty frustrating. i haven't even seen a post from any of the devs confirming that they're aware of the issue. launching with an oversight this simple was bad enough, but it's now been like this for almost two weeks without any acknowledgement.

Many probably... Played like 10 seeds and didn't have a single soft-lock. One could have been one but after I stuck myself in the desert for stupid reasons and couldn't check if it is actually impossible I reset the seed.

There are problems with the mode but if people can't find a single working seed in two weeks then they either didn't check properly or didn't play more than one or two seeds.

Its beatable, but you need to explore everything. I had 98.5% map exploration. Took me 10 hours.

and y do u not get zengastu's weapon after the first fight?

Ive gotten the Zangetsu after the second fight him.... It was standing next to him with the tip in the ground, had to push 'Up' to pick it up...

I did not get big hand blue shard from big hand boss, so i can't cross the gap in gardens...
BUT!
I did get fancy INVERT shard from a sewer RAT, so who need that big hand?! XDD I will just inverr the castle and pass those obstacles on a ceiling! XD

Ah, and i randomized everything. All shards, items, recipes, quests, key items... and it's the first time i've used randomized in a game and i freakin' love it. First minutes were the best, trying to find at least one weapon to fight off enemies XD

Good luck, but you can still easily get stuck. Zangetsuto and Silver Bromide are not considered key items by the randomizer, so you can get mandatory items stuck behind the blood moon or the train that you can never enter. Might be other softlocks too, but those problems are the most common.

Yeah, I've searched every nook and cranny but I need to get either Zengetsu or the silver bromide and instead I was given curry powder. I have Dimension Shift which pretty much well solves all my mobility issues but without either of those two things it looks like my run's stuck.

Until they patch the game I'm going to suggest leaving Key Items alone. The randomized recipes are pretty wonky too -- I wound up with a sword being a major ingredient when dismantling several foods. To make butter I needed rennet and milk, but dismantling butter gave milk and the viking sword. I'm pretty shocked that Zengetsu and the Bromide weren't considered key. I'm going to try the randomizer again but leaving things like Key Items alone. Besides, grinding on every enemy searching for critical stuff isn't that fun.

I think Zangetsu will ALWAYS drop from the second fight with Zangetsu, even if you already have one in your inventory.... You just have to pick it up off the ground next to him, using the 'Up' button.

It has for me on every run so far... With all options set to Random/Chaos.
