Aurora looks strange
Is it just me, or does Aurora in her second and third stages look strange? Her face and head looks like she's wearing a mask over another head, the skintones do not match head and body, and her hair and clothing are very shlumpy on her body and poorly designed like (especially in the status screen, when changing her helpers.) like someone made them in MS paint, compared to the detail and love that clearly went into the detailed appearances of Zang, Miriam and Bloodless. Did anyone even make an effort to polish her appearance in post development? I dunno dude, to me she feels very -- thrown together. These are just my opinions however. Wonder if anyone else feels the same way.

I think that they need to clean up her model yeah. It's very strangely textured with no real details and just some flat textures. The head looks weird as you also said. They need to give it a second pass. Her gameplay is excellent but her model is terrible.

The gameplay is the most fun I've had in a minute, certainly! It's just I can't unsee her thrown together models, like some sort of bargain bin mannequin patched up with textures. Here's hoping they give her models and design a second pass!

I feel like it was a poorly handled attempt at translating the hand-drawn picture book look into 3D.

Agreed, the model looks like it's copied over from a PS2 game

ps2 can do better, I do 3d work and it looks like they forgot the other texture maps in the case of this game because it's clearly unfinished. There is no normal mapping at all for her but just a shader thrown on top. I feel as if something went wrong with asset creation as there is a ton of room for improvement.

Agreed. I love Child of Light, but her model looks out of place here.

I physically recoiled when I saw the character in the pause screen. I guess it looks fine enough from a distance, but up close it's terrible.

The models are pretty bad. The shadows look weird and it feels like all her texturing was done with the paint bucket tool.

I know PS2 Games that do it a lot better, i wait until they do it better (IF they do it better). If not i pass this one. Its totally out of place here.

I KNOW RIGHT? She looks so strange, like someone put a head on top of her head.

Actually is closer to putting a wig on a Barbie (an already ugly Barbie, but I digress) and remove the whole head from the body to put it on another doll's body

I am actually puzzled to as why they didn't just retouch up the model from the og game if they were gonna take the kitbash route.

These are the people who designed Miriam, Gebel, Johannes, Dominique, etc etc. A little bit of effort, to really give her a going over, they could have made Aurora beautiful. I guess kitbash (?) was the "fast and dirty" way to go, just to get the product/dlc out.

I play on the Switch. Aurora does look plain. Can't believe how OP she is compared to the others.
