It sounds like summoning abilities won't be that good if you can't keep them up for a while.
But yeah, on hit affects sound really, really dull. I mean, if there's going to be aloooot of these, i won't mind a few bad ones, but heck;
Why not make the fire shard increase the range of your weapon with a firey slash?
The ice one freezes weaker enemies (So you could even stand on them) for a bit, or slow down bigger ones.
Necrotic shard turns a enemy into your minion for a short while on death, while it wittles away. Or you could go a bit morbid, and have the bones explode outward to damage other enemies on death.
And none of that "Chance" bullocks, that belongs in a MMO or ARPG, not in a Metroidvania.
(And yes, i am aware that Metroidvania can be classified as a ARPG, but you know what i mean)
