Best weapons

I think the best weapons are the "Flying sword type" specifically the oracle blades. No attack animation and you get 2-4 or 4-8 hits per sword (depending on enemy size) and it lets you stay about 3/4 of the screen away from anything and have no attack animations.

rhava velar deals crazy damage with extreme attack speed.

adrasteia with recycle hat and the best bullets you have deals insane damage as well.

chun li kicks with bunnymorphosis is crazy as well.

Best Weapons are arguably:
Ukanvasara (lightning element g.sword, high damage)
Fully Fed Grand Izayoi (ultra high damage katana with all katana techs? Yes please...)
Rhava Valar (1-handed sword, it's like the valmanway/crissegrim)
Oracle Sword (upgraded flying sword)
Death Bringer (fire element g.sword , very high damage)
Encrypted Orchid (lightning element 1-hander)
Valkyrie Sword (if only for it's secret tech)
Preferred gun+Diamond Bullets+Recyclers Hat+Gun boosting gear

You mean gunslingers hat for dmg at the cost of 2x bullet. Recycle hat is just for running around killing things which is much better suited for shards.

Still not sure how anyone can argue the Oracle Sword is one of the 'best' weapons. Renee's Requiem with diamond bullets absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥ all over it, it's not even close.

The best weapons are pretty much Renee's Requiem, Adrastea, and Grand Izayoi. Those are the God tier of this game, the best weapons of the most powerful weapon types. Plus probably Rhava Velar, any Crissaegrim equivalent was always going to be stupidly good.

What fits best to your style, is the best.
I like flying and vorpal swords cause they reminds me of SotN, and how I like to use them.
But I fell in love for the spear type, specially after I unlock the penetrate technique.

Same... the flying weapon is subpar and is basically a free shard spell. Its dmg is not even half of what you can accomplish with other weapons. Utility is ok and the delay between attacking is crap if you are farming or running through areas.

If you are not holding up on the stick/D-pad to JoJo pose with animation free weapons, then you are not using them right. This is the most important aspect to such weapons.

There are MANY high end weapons that are all good and somewhat comparable for different reasons. My list is just a list of the TOP weapons in the game, not necessarily the single best.

I haven't used greatswords much yet, what's so special about Deathbringer? It and Ukanvasara are only the second tier greatswords, with Eternal Blue being quite significantly stronger.

Guys, cmon, clearly the Shield is the best weapon. GUARD all day, every day, especially with a 9/9 Sword Expertise.

Before anyone tells me I'm wrong, I'm only half-serious, but I am doing a shield-only run, or at least after I could have crafted it which was still really early in the game.

Coin weapons can be upgraded twice. Final Deathbringer only has 9 less attack than Eternal Blue and it's special effect is an extra hit for about 25% extra damage. Mine hits for about 260+70 end-game.
