"Avenge the Death of Soleiyu!" Side Quest

This bounty has me searching for a Living Fossil in the Dian Cecht Cathedral. Needless to say I can't find them there.

Living Fossils are in the Hidden Desert.

My map markers (the green shields) are on the tower and the cathedral. Clearly not the right place but I will see if killing them in the desert checks them off.

they're green scrolls i think, and they won't stop appearing unless you speak to the NPC who hands out the quests and finish the quest.

I know this is an old thread, but I must ask here because normally it only took 4 Living Fossils and that was it. But now it asks to slay 4 demons on top of that. I go to the markers on the map, but there's nothing there. It's a room where you fight a boss toward the beginning of the game. There are no enemies in the room, and I've literally went around trying every type of demon, but nothing counts. Any ideas?
