Speedrun and Boss-Rush modes
How do these work? Do you get to use your equipment loadouts and stats from an existing save? Does exp/shards/items earned transfer back to a save in progress?

What exactly IS speedrun mode? Usually it just means that dialogue and cutscenes are removed, with the rest of the game being relatively untouched. Is that how it is in Bloodstained as well?

Speedrun mode explains itself when you go to start it

Boss rush you select a save file and play that character

Why don't you... try clicking them?
Like 4 clicks answers all your questions lol. It won't delete your OS or anything.

Because I'm in the middle of a game and don't want it to lock me out of a save-file or something.

I don't know if it's something about the Steam forums or what, but I'm already starting to not like the community that's coming together around this game, which is a shame, because the game itself is amazing and should be bringing people together. The amount of snark I've seen so far is kind of mind-boggling.

You are so busy in your game that you took the time to think about those options you saw on the main menu long ago (instead of just checking them then and there), you then decided to alt-tab and write a thread about it on steam forums instead of just getting the next save point or creating a temporary suspension save and checking it?
Get the ♥♥♥♥ outta here.

Who uses the steam forums to talk about game modes? Forums are about arguing whether this is a metroidvania, or a metroid-like. Not about talking about the game

Don't worry, I'll actually answer your question cause I can acknowledge that someone isn't fully invested in the question they have compared to what they're also trying to do at the moment which is beat the game and need to know if it's worth their while to stop.

One thing Boss Rush mode is useful for is the first course awards 16-bit coins, so if you're powerful enough for the first half of the game, you can clear the first course and get an immediate bonus to your current file. Which may be worth your while. Especially if you want to save up money or rush a 32-bit coin.

Thank you. You even went a little above and beyond.

Wasn't actually playing...was taking a short break from doing housework. I like your powers of assumption, though.

Basically I was just scared that it might interrupt my game-in-progress, and didn't want to "just click on them" in case it altered my save-file.

(Though admittedly I could've copied a save and tried. Honestly didn't think about that until now.)

Really, if you're just here to argue and not contribute anything to the community, why don't YOU get the ♥♥♥♥ outta here?

I've helped plenty of people here. Was just in a couple of other threads finding last rooms they've missed for 100% completion, or items they're missing or tricks to get around.

But when you make a thread for something as stupid as this, I'm not sure what to say.

I've run these on normal in under a minute for both stages and all I get are useless Ethers. Is the 32-bit coins from the higher difficulties?

16bit coin is first completion of course A

32bit coin is first completion of course B

Never saw them in the chests after that

I think you get them once so they're unlocked on the store? Because all I get are ethers too.
