What purpose do Boss coins have?
I mean they dont have an achivement and dont count to 100% items. What do they do?

They're just bragging rights awards for beating the boss without taking damage.

The Boss Medals prove that you defeated the boss(es) in question without taking damage. They serve no practical purpose other than as a mark of pride. They’re also a nod to Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, which did the same thing for its bosses.

Only noticed them on nightmare, probably wasn't paying attention if they spawn in lower difficulties

they do, but since normal is so easy, i doubt anyone cared about taking damage. i know i didn't. i only started dodging attacks when i started Nightmare.
