Valkyrie Sword secret technique
From gamefaqs board:

I have been able to confirm that you can only gain access to this move once you have 100% Techniques mastered.

The input is Down, Down, Attack.

Miriam teleports into the air and does a downward slash.

This can be used in the air as well as on the ground.

Oh so you actually need all the techniques mastered? That actually makes me depressed because I had done so and thought that it was just unique to the Valkyrie Sword otherwise.

Well it IS unique to the Valkyrie sword, but you have to have mastered every tech in the game as well.

Ah, right, I just meant something unique to it that isn't dependent on other factors. Agreed with your point, just... damn, I really like that weapon but it's already gated heavily as is without technique grinding.

There's very little grinding involved with mastering all the techniques. I ignored them completely while playing and it still only took two 15-minute sessions to have all of them maxed. If I'd done it while farming instead, it would have happened without even that relatively minimal effort.

Hello! I have a question. What if your playing on the switch version and you have all the techniques mastered except the Lunging Serpent and the Back Steal techniques, which appear to be blank where the mastery bar should be. I know you need all of the skills mastered to perform the secret Valkyrie technique, but I cannot seem to master those two techniques and I fear that is why my percentage is at 90.48% techniques learned. Am I right? Or, is there some sort of glitch that is involved that won't allow me to learn the Valkyrie's secret technique?
Zaphied Jul 26, 2019 @ 6:28pm
@plazma you are missing some other techniques. 2 of the techs have no mastery needed to use with those specific weapons. Without seeing a screen shot of your techlist one cannot say what you are missing but I'm sure there is a list in the guide section that a compare will show.

Well here ya go then (sorry about that). Assassinate, Surprise Gift, Power Slash, Force Blast, Parry, Back Steal, Sickle Moon, Trucidating Gyre, Thousand Blossoms, Lasting Wound, Penetrate, Lunging Serpent, Flashing Air kick, Hatchet Heel, Critical Swing, Jinrai, Helmsplitter, Crimson Blizzard, Eleventh Hour, Sansetsuzan, and Rapid Fire. (All that I have so far)

Orbital Wheel: Lance, Gae Assail ; down left up right x is the missing one.
Plazma Jul 27, 2019 @ 6:51pm
ooh... Alrighty. Thanks!
Plazma Jul 27, 2019 @ 7:15pm
And one more thing. I am not truly at 100% yet with my mastered techniques (instead I'm at 95.24% mastery). If I got all of them mastered except those two, then shouldn't it be at 100%? And even though I got all of them, I've tried but still am not able to perform the Valkyrie's secret technique...

Oops missed Crescent Stroke too. Zangestuto, Mikazuki, Grand Izakoi: left down right up x.

My apologies.

Ah, not a problem. (After all you are privileging me with this information :steamhappy:)

Thanks again!

Actually, how fast they level up is reliant on how strong the enemies are you train them on. So at the start of the game it's a lot slower, and since you want such skills early in the game so you can use them before the game is over, that could pose a problem.

Still not particularly hard. You have access to something like 1/3 of the techniques just before the first Zangetsu fight. I trained them all on the archer just by the save room. Went quick.
