Nightmare is... surprisingly easy
I finished the game in 100% (all categories) in normal, difficult and I was starting the nightmare mode when I was almost shocked by the low difficulty.

So we don't climb LVL certainly but either my character became much too powerful even when returning to level 1 or it was very badly thought out (or it's a bug)

In difficult mode I finished being level 75 and of course all the masters, and shards rank 9, my pets are also about level 50.

I relaunch in nightmare and there I one shot all the enemies, and if I let myself be typed, they only do 18 of DMG on more than 1000 PV.
I was more expecting to die at the first blow of any monster but then it is or the difficulty? No backup maybe? or something else?

I would like to understand because gone as it is I will finish this nightmare mode in 100% in less than a few hours.

Then I hope to read here that it is not normal not to die etc. which would like to say that some by my backup is corrupted because it exceeds normal.

In the end I think that the only real boss in this game is the millionaire because when you have more than 4 million gold it makes a boss with 99 999 PV

Try it on a clean data.

Maybe because with this not a challenge

I will keep this save for training speedrun because she is very effective.

I mean you are technically in a ng+ so its gonna be pretty damn easy for a while.
Ed Jun 23, 2019 @ 11:19am
NG+ nightmare is a joke mate, of course it's easy. It's a mode designed for a new game.

I mean then again once you have the pattern down it isn't very challenging when its just do the same damn routine times 50 and just becomes a chore of artificial difficulty (Changes with some of the bosses later with higher variation and frequency of attacks). Pretty much get the extremes of the spectrum and would be more interesting to have a set 2 hit death health bar (think ghouls n goblin).

Ok i understand, nightmare is not for NG+ but only for clean start.
I play so much Darth souls and game of the kind that I expected a similar experience but it's true that it's not necessarily the type of game intended for.

On the other hand this game lends itself very well to speedrun and I even think that TAS could be done on it, and that there is a potential to break the game by going through unexpected places considering how I can almost get through the controller.

It's all the easier to think that the game can be completely returned to speedrun when I see that my road I've gotten into the habit of taking has apparently not been tested by the devs since I have the cinematics that don't trigger, they're designed to activate only if I arrive through the other door of the room while I always come from the opposite side, and yet I don't have the feeling I'm following a road that would be abnormal (although)

However, for having experienced it, and waiting for an answer from the studio, be careful if you make a road that passes through Bloodless before Zangetsu

NG+ is pointless in this game imo since there are hardly any missables and you can always complete your quests whenever you want.

Both Hard and Nightmare feel fine, Nightmare is brutal at the beginning but I tracked a streamer being at the last boss on Nightmare who's playing Nightmare for his first playthrough for days so he couldn't possibly carried over.

I'm doing Nightmare & no damage boss fights for the medals.

So to add to that, I found the game quite easy, I think that in fact to have finished it now in all these modes at 100% or almost 100% (I lack techniques) I consider that the difficulty is not the center of the gamepolay but it is rather a game made to try to find the secrets and find a routing to make the game as fast as possible, and there is a lot of non "normal" method of passing bosses, and I'm now starting to look for how to do a run or I'll pass almost all the unnecessary bosses to see a run done without killing any noncompulsory enemy.

This game is very beautiful and already manage to find everything I'm talking about makes me play and replay quite a bit and precisely the fact of being able to go up very high in level and having more and more power activated in passive makes that we can pass more and more things that are not naturally planned or indicated.

Example, the blood fountain, I no longer need to kill the boss Blodless now because I no longer go through the fountain at all in my routing.

I'm trying to find other methods that could make it possible to pass bosses or make them almost anecdotal like the millionaire or in my routing I'll have to find a moment to separate myself from all my money then using one of the passive powers that we normally have after doing it from an area where it almost never touches me.

Currently I'm redoing the game in a nightmare but with all the powers and the most powerful stuff (except for some pieces that I have to take back into the game every time because we don't keep them) and my goal and to get this stuff as soon as possible:

I totally love the way the character looks once it has become totally overboosted.
On the other hand, I would have liked the outfits to change their appearance in the game like the rest :

Difficulty isn't really the main draw for a game like this.

The true question is: "Did you have fun?"
Riger82 Jun 29, 2019 @ 12:01am
I had to do a clean nightmare because I was literally too powerful to NOT kill the false boss after getting the katana, lol. I had to equip weaker weapons, two safe rings, and turn of my dullaheads just so he didn't die too fast for me to slice the moon.
So, yeah. NG+ destroys any difficulty nightmare is supposed to have.
Master Blaster Jun 29, 2019 @ 12:04am
Uh, not to burst anyones bubble but Nightmare is not made for non New game+ without using a CHEAT you cannot access Nightmare mode, so all levels and nodes are expected to be available as a result, aka if they didn't want you to access nightmare without NG+ it would be available without the use of a cheat code.
You unlock Nightmare legit by completing hard difficulty. who wouldn't use NG+ at that point.

Wow... Okay.

1: You do realize there is a difference between 'new game +' and a fresh start, correct?

2: You don't have to use the cheat to unlock nightmare. You just have to beat the previous difficulties.

3: You also don't have to take any of your levels, items, or shards with you if you want a clean start.

4: New Game + is specifically a replay where you keep your previous work/gear. It is not a prerequisite for nightmare unless you want it to be.

ReActif, you probably already know this, but you can also skip the gambler boss by using Accelerator or Reflector Ray to get through the door on the far side before it closes.

Oh, no i have stopped this game for a moment, but interesting, i will test this, thanks for the information, i will test this this time in clear start not ng+ because, ng+ is good for research but not for challange

Nightmare is the lvl1 hard mode. the main challenge comes from trying to play the game without being able to take hits at all. If you use NG+ to start nightmare at or near the level cap it won't be much different to hard mode because the levelling restriction won't matter.
