Jump behind him - a lot. After each jump get one or two hits in. Ducking while attacking can help avoiding his melee as well but you have to be careful because he does that as well if you keep it for too long.

When he is freezing time and setting up his frost arrows use the shield ability (already hold the direction and button during the freeze. you might still get hit by one if your are unlucky but that mostly removed their damage for me).

Might take a few tries to get a feeling for the attack window but once the frost arrows are out of the window thanks to the shield it's just a matter of how many hits can you get in between his pattern.

I would actually stay close to him but jump to his back. His sword Swing actually has quite the windup so you can jump out of its way.

For the rest, you have to learn how to dodge them. With the time stop you have a small window to dodge before the shards fly. Staying close also seems to put you in a good position most of the time. You can also power through with having enough healing items, leveling and good Equipment.

bring a lot of high hp restoring foods too if you are stuggling on top of your potions.

Really the only thing he has of note is the time stop and you can heal through it if you are bad avoiding it like I am, or position yourself quickly where you can angle the shield, or use the Bandit Sword steal tech to gain invulnerability during it.

Otherwise you basically just leapfrog over his head to avoid all his other stuff,.

Use invert and hit him.

The best tip i've seen so far is using alot of Ice Resist itens. It will basically negate most of his damage and make the fight much more doable.

There's a shard called Beast Guardian that protects you from any damage coming from in front of you. If you always face towards him this will guard against most of his attacks. This method requires a lot of mp or mp healing items, and you'll still need a few hp healing items if you just try to tank the hits that can't easily be guarded.

My method also involved getting an item called the recycle hat (from completing all cooking quests) and using diamond bullets, along with firearm expertise.

Imo, this is a pretty powerful combo that can help you get through a lot of difficult fights easily, especially if you want to go back to optional bosses to grind for their items or shards.

invert and max upgraded 8-bit fireballs from the top = dead in 10 secs

I prefer Dis Rosien (or however it's spelled, the light-element laser beam/Kamehameha), but to each their own. The typical downside of the "sustained" spells is that they cost mana each second while only hitting every couple of seconds, but you can counter that by just spam-firing in bursts rather than continuously. At that point, the only real downside is the way Miriam says the name of the spell every freaking time.

Nah, just on the smaller/human-sized bosses. For the big guys, grab the best rapier you can get, master the rapid-thrust technique, put on decent armor, and just go to town on them. Much like IGA's previous games, the small enemies wind up being way more of a pain than the big ones.

Bring up his daddy issues. Also, drop the library books so they're open on the floor, face down, damaging both the pages and the spine.
