Where to get black pepper?

Another option, if you have the moeny for it, is to purchase food that is made of it from the shop, and then dismantle the food into some pepper. It costs a lot of money though if you need a large amount of the stuff.

This is a bit old, but from what I have tested, here's a 99% chance way of getting TONS of black pepper fast and easy.

Equip the following items :
Head : Ribbon
Body : Valkyrie Dress
Ring 1 : Plunderer's Ring
Ring 2 : Solomon's Ring (while you're at it, why not raising that Healing shard, right?)
Scarf : Bunny Scarf

For shards, only 2 are necessary :
- Accelerator as the Manipulative shard (blue)
- "Augment LCK" or "Augment Gold" as the Passive Shard (yellow)

This will give you about +27 to luck (not counting the passive shard). In my case, with the food perm bonus and all, I'm at 83 Luck.
The Plunderer's Ring is a MUST as it not only raise the chance of getting Black Pepper, but also other items at the same time.

To put it simple, keep pushing the Manipulative ability and rush between the 2 large rooms in the Underground Sorcery Lab (in all, those are the 2 large rooms separated by the corridor with a bunch of monkey in green classes that can be shattered.) Those 2 rooms have 2 to 3 blue chest that keep respawning when you move out of the zone (which, conveniently, has a zone transition right to 1 of the 2 rooms that leads to the vertical room with assassins and first save point after the train.) Going forth and back takes about 20-30 secs at most and, from what I have tested, I get 1 or 2 Black Pepper per chest at a super high rate. (I think only 1 chest didn't give me any of it in over 10 runs.)

This method can be used also to gain gems for crafting in the Twin Dragons Tower (there are 2 chests that drops 1 of each gem + 1 silver ore if your luck is high enough.)

The only issue comes from the poison frogs around. If your INT is high enough, you can 1-hit them while running with the Accelerator shard, but due to the average INT bonus of the LCK based equipment, you might get poisoned a few time. Luckily, killing the frogs almost guaranty you a few Mithridate if you're not already full of those (like I am).
