If I recall it was just for sale from Dominque.
Mine is 51 now. Seriously... what causes it to grow? I can't even remember when I got the thing.
That being the case, the amount of blood per point of attack will likely increase exponentially. But if you have the patience, you can increase its attack power all the way to the cap.
I just tested it and this is correct, I just farmed a room, use blood steal and attack goes up. Izayoi does not even need to be equipped, attack is now 51.
What you need is the Rhava Velar, as much attack speed as you can get, Gebel's Glasses (which you get in Johannes' room after getting at least one of every shard), and the Standstill shard. Then, find an enemy that's grounded, keep Standstill activated, and slice away. Standstill will prevent the enemy from dying, so you can spill as much blood as possible (there seems to be a limit to how much can be on screen at the same time). A good enemy for this is the Revenant boss, since it is actually affected by the Standstill shard.
It seems the Grand Izayoi maxes out at 58 ATK. I'm a 13680.00l, and no matter how much more I get, it doesn't go up in ATK anymore. Kinda disappointing.
I was hoping for a weapon like the 'cursed' ones from the Tales series.
