Is Shadow Tracer actually double damage?
Like, does each shadow clone actually do an attack just like you, or what?

Not double, a 25%. I find it most useful summoning it before doing a high damage tech like Jinrai

Yeah, about 25%.
The biggest problem I have is actually hitting things with them. You have to do some messed up gymnastics to do so. So I just got the stat booster shard to r9/g9 and it increases my damage and defenses dramatically.

I know this is an old thread, but still. If you wanna use Shadow Tracer, go with the Sword Whip. Holding down the attack button during your swing not only extends you whip, but also those of your shadows. You can shred most non-bosses in a single swing.

Overally all long ranged weapons do well with it. If you however use little spells and only shorter weapons forget it.
