does demon #27 spawn on hard mode?

just need 1 last item on my demon list but demon #27 drops it and i cant seem to find it. i know where it spawns and found them no problem on normal but i cant seem to find it on hard? anyone know?

According to my Demon Archive #027 is the Scythe Mite (looks like a flying insect) and it should spawn somewhere in the Towers of Twin Dragons. This is taken from a normal difficulty save file.

yeah this is the issue im having. i killed 11 of them on normal and im pretty sure they spawn at the outer ring of the tower but since i moved to hard mode i can no longer find them. sucks if im right cause they have my final item.

These things were annoying. Go to the bottom half of the first tower (outside). Kill things along the top side of it, then go to the opposite side from where the top door is and stand there for a few seconds. A few should spawn, after you kill them move a few feet and wait a few more seconds, more should spawn. Was a real pain figuring this out.

Now that you say it, I think only my Dullaheads ever killed these guys because they could go through the walls / off screen.

tried clearing out the area but they still wont spawn. been here for almost an hour now. also took off my familiars just incase. tempted to go back on normal just to see how/where they spawn.

Also, once you enter the area, do not use the dash. It seems like once you get a lot of movement speed it bugs them out. Just go slow like you would when you first reach that area.

that was my problem. the dash made them not spawn but walking made them spawn. weird glitch. thanks for the help tho. got my final item and my demon log is now 100% complete.

you can attract them using a weapon that causes blood stains on the floors/walls, e.g. great sword, etc. hang out around blood and they'll show up outside of the tower

This. But keep in mind that the Items they drop can´t be picked up at times due to some wonky camera angles or the circular Level structure? ( I don´t know which of these two cause this)

Yes, like their description suggests, they feast on blood. Either produce it by getting hit by a sharp object from enemies or do it yourself by hitting certain enemies with a sharp object.

I also had trouble with them and like others have mentioned they spawn based on blood. When you move quickly in the late game it's easy to never be around long enough for the blood to attract them, and worse, despawn the blood so you will never see them anyways.
