ps4 controller buttons

Is there any way to get them to display (prompts, menu)? Its not a huge deal since I don't even look at the controller as I play, I'm simply curious.

Yes. Download this: http://www.fagurd.com/BSMods/DL/DS4_Buttons.pak
Put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Bloodstained Ritual of the Night\BloodstainedRotN\Content\Paks\~mods

"~mods" folder probably don't exist, so you have to create it. Then just start the game normally. Make sure the folder is named ~mods and not mods. The ~ is important.

Sorry for the necro, but there was no other choice. This mod no longer works for some reason. Is there an updated version that does or are people with DS4 controllers just screwed? Having the wrong prompts makes playing difficult for me, and I just can not figure out why DS4 does not have more support considering its superiority and the fact that it is the industry standard for gaming. I hope someone can help, I'd like to be able to play this game without constantly being confused by blank or incorrect prompts.

Mods often break when there's a big change to the game engine. Hopefully the mod creators will do an update.

I tried to fix this mod with the new files that the game uses now. All that remained was to change the TouchPad icon for the Share button and the LB and RB icon on the menus (I don't know how to make these specifics changes). If you want to try it, here are the links:
