How do I beat the Ninja in Den of Behemoths?
The one you have to race. Im ahead of him for the vast majority of the course, but he gets a massive speed boost towards the end for whatever reason and runs like a full screen ahead.

Also, is there a faster way to reset other than running all the way back to start?

Oh man, I didnt think of using diagonal dive kicks! Beat him first time I tried it. Thank you!

Use Reflector Ray to jump ahead of him at the start of the race and abuse your move set to literally cut the distance down... For instance in a straight area, use the Katana's instant slash move (→ ← → + Atk) to jump a huge distance while stopping time on Harrier (the ninja's name).

I think if you don't have him on your screen he might end up 'cheating' as well... So make sure to reach the end before he uses the boost in the long corridor and take advantage of his slow climbing ability.

I just abused a ranked up reflector ray to jump through the whole course.

You can come back after you defeat Gremory and use the teleport skill to bypass walls.

I ddint even know you could upgrade reflector ray tbh.

I had Aegis Mail and Speed belt. Used double jump and Inverse, no other abilities. I kept gettign close, but the whole moving via dive kicks part made me win.

I just beat him with the aegis armor and reflector... He was pretty easy once I figured that out.
Hope I get to keep the speed boost ability when I start a new game in a higher difficulty.

I didnt "won" the race but I still got the shard though... just got the speed belt on me and the aegis armor but most importantly I had high jump...

I used the high jump, the aeigis armor, and the charging spear technique to run.
Shirakani Jun 21, 2019 @ 9:39am
Aegis armor is pretty much mandatory so you can not give a stuff for the traps... he's faster than you by default even with the speed gear and book so the only way to get ahead of him and STAY ahead is to use reflector ray to jump forward and then ignore everything and go for broke.

Or you can just time stop later on and its much easier.

yeah aegis and high jump and you can win the race with 10!!! seconds spare. He really sucks at dropping down. And make sure you Doublejump divekick and follow with a crouching slide double jump... this way you skip a lot of frames slowing.

I just used the spear tech that makes you dash while I had words of wisdom equipped
Pluvius Lilon Jun 21, 2019 @ 3:09pm
I was able to just barely do it with the Aegis Plate, the Moon Belt (gotta love that backdash!), and Invert for the vertical segments.

Obviously not as efficient as some of the other solutions posted here, but if you have nothing else it'll work.

I use spear for the "Penetrate" hilarious speed.
Of course I also equip speed boosting item.
