well the piano gives you an achievement if you use the carbosse familiar with it

Chairs are used to restore your MP.

Piano gives you an achievement if you summon carbosse and play through the song.

Not sure about the cow or moving eye painting.

The moving eye painting is probably a reference to a different painting in Dawn of Sorow that also watched you.

Ah right, forgot about that, you're probably right.

The cow reminded me of a "Brazen Bull" but fire did nothing so was at a loss. Didn't picture it pointing to a wall cus my fairy did it first

Some of the chairs are mimics, and at least one propels you towards a powerup. Some are... not as helpful. Try them all!

Sitting in a bunch of chairs is from an earlier Castlevania. One of the 3D ones. I want to say Curse of Darkness, but it might have been Lament of Innocence.

I thought maybe it's only purpose was to point out the wall, but it's weird to make something like that to only use once...to do essentially nothing. So I have to think theres another purpose. Maybe not though :P

It was Symphony of the Night. Same as the wearing the blue armor and most other references within the game.

However, I also wonder about the chair that's positioned to view the painting in Livre Ex Machina. It seems like there should be something to do there.

Looks like you're right, but also, check this out: https://castlevania.fandom.com/wiki/Chair_Room

I guess it stuck in mind more for me because there was much more of a focus on it in CoD than there was in SotN, but you are correct that the origin was SotN.
How about this room at the top left corner of boat that have this frame hanging, that look that might become a picture or photo?

Haha that's hilarious. I had no idea about that room.

Yeah. I was hoping for a similar room in BRotN, sitting in every chair so I could "collect" them and maybe have them on display, but alas...

Still, wouldn't that have been baller? Have two rooms, one that displays every chair type you've sat in (and allows you to sit in them again), and another that only unlocks after you've collected them all. In the locked room, either a single basic wooden chair (or elaborate throne) that plays CONGRATULATIONS when you sit in it and does -nothing- else, or a Dracula throne that acts as a miniboss once you sit in it, and then drops something neat.

Maybe a shard that teleports you to a random fixed sittable chair in the game, or a flying chair that you can steer like Aqua Stream (with jets on it or something), or a joke weapon that swings a chair!

SOMETHING, ya know?
