help with a passive

is there a katana passive shard? if so where do i got it or rather what mob gives it?

you can craft it, with johanne, you just need the sword shard and a dull blade

oh.. guess its already there then or is it one of those you look around to get the stuff you need? like what the locations /craft for them

Johannes has an extra tab in his crafting (not enhancing) menu for creating new shards.
If you have the Sword Expertise shard, it unlocks a couple of other expertise shards in his craft menu without telling you.

seems like i need to progress in order to unlock it? since he got nothnig there

You do not need to do anything other than get the Sword Expertise shard for the recipe to unlock. Make sure you are going into the Craft menu and go over to the Passive Shard list (second to last section. Just go left two tabs from the start)
