To the developers: Make the water movement Shard more obvious.
Give us some clues or something, I spent forever trying to figure out how to advance in the game when I find out in forums and discussions that is getting a random shard from an enemy that is ironically, underwater.

This is a major oversight in design. I'm ok with the shard dropping from an enemy but at least give us some clues as on which enemy or what to do...

Are you seriously telling me that i need to farm a shard that is essential for progression?

That's really bad game design if that's the case. I seriously thought that the swimming underwater ability will drop from a boss.

I honestly think there is a Skill shard (sliver) that allow underwater movement I've yet to find it though and also they are aware of it as there a Save room next to the area where you can get that Shard. Usually save room are usually before a boss or a importantish room.

Ive read somewhere ingame that passive may evolve into skill shard but i cant seem to find that hint either i was tired when I read or I misread it or it wasn't important enough to be marked in the journal or somewhere in the archive.

the enemy you need to kill is a jellyfish. after getting its shard, the description pops up and telling you what can it do. the clue became obvious to me since i spend shard farming for each monster just to get their abilities.

There is a shard for "normal" underwater movement (aka sloooooow, even with a certain passive skill), but you need the one enemy shard just to get to it.

Additionally, the shard for underwater movement has an absurdly high drop rate. It would be pretty hard to miss it.

I think i miss it I just fought a certain boss this boss was tough 2 tries and he also the first boss i fought that I need to use a Item. I usually dont use heal item during boss fight.

Sidenote I have the horse one that make you move faster and give health regen while underwater.

That's really bad game design if that's the case. I seriously thought that the swimming underwater ability will drop from a boss.

In Castlevania Aria of sorrow you had to have 3 specific souls equipped to get the true ending. It was inted with books but you could miss those and you have to farm the souls.

Why does the jellyfish drop the water movement shard and not the fish? This is just awful design with absolutely no hints whatsoever. It's literally just trial and error in a genre game where thats not supposed to be the case.

And then you notice the jellyfish jet toward you... Yep clearly no hint what so ever.

I'm so mad. I spent like 6 hours trying to search every room. I walked through the underground waterway unable to go down like 5 times, I didn't think I would have to go and farm a shard off an enemy just to progress. There are freaking shard lamp posts for FAMILIARS that you don't need!!!! Couldn't they have put a shard on a lamp post just like that near the warp room?!?!

I said the same thing when I got it but then I thought about it for 2 seconds. if you dont have it, you will explore the caves more. eventually this will lead you to the dead end with the waterfall. the room before that has like 5 of the things jumping at you out of the water. so you will go through that room, and then walk back through it once you hit the dead end. the things have a base droprate of 10% which is like the highest percentage for soul drops in the game and that is just the base number un modified by your luck stat. so realistically your chances of going through that room twice and NOT getting it is absurdly low. this on top of the fact that you should probably be curious enough to try and and get all the shards in the game. you should definately be getting it. I mean I beleive the lowest droprate(and the normal rate for it) is 4% for a soul it really isnt that hard to grab one every time you see a new enemy especially as your luck stat gets higher. IIRC there were enemies in aria/dawn that had a fraction of a percent drop rate. this is actually pretty nice.
