What do I do after getting Invert?

I can't seem to find where to go now. I got a Carpenter Key, but can't find any door that asks for that.

Go to the twin dragon area and head past the elevator at the bottom to the eastern tower. Invert there and you should find a chest.

Okay I seem to have found the way forward: There's a pit of spikes, I went through it by stocking on a lot of potions. I dunno if this is the intended way to proceed, but it led me to the zangetsu fight.

I'm 90% sure there's an item for breaking spikes in the twin dragon tower, just trying to figure out how to get to the chest.

I think I already got that chest, what's on it?

The aegis plate that can help you get through the spikes.

Yeah it took me about 3-4 hours of looking to find anything that would let me proceed.

Also - go to where the twin dragon boss fight started, invert and drop through the hole. You'll get the valkyrie armor - looks awesome and has pretty solid stats.

Hm, no, didn't get that chest. Weird, I remember trying that... Oh well, I'll just hope I don't need to dive into spikes again I guess.

Oh yeah that's the chest I got when I inverted in the tower

You wanna do it at the very bottom outside of the tower and go all the way up.

Alright, but what do once you have it. Even with it on, I still can't get past the iron maiden at the castle entrance.
